However, it gives me fits when trying to do some detail work on my little wooden dolls and other craft projects because it’s not variable speed. These Dremel Rotary Tools are handy to have around. Their compact size makes them easy to store when not in use. There are tons of accessories available. I have mainly used the cutting disks, but there are numerous others for grinding, sanding, etc.. This little tool has plenty of power to tackle the job at hand. I was able to easily cut a rusty bolt from an old vehicle frame, although I did break a few disks in the process. The 100 Series is a single speed tool. I have used the multi-speed tools before, but I never found myself using the lower speeds. The single speed tool is a great value.

This is a basic Dremel, I believe one of the first one to come out. It is good if you want to use it for pretty light sanding and stuff. Most of the accessories are for sanding but there is a cutting disk. It can be used with most other accessories Dremel makes. It works for what I need it for. It seems to be made well and it has a two year warranty.
