The Dremel 106 1/16 in. Small Engraving Cutter is a quality cutter for detail engraving, carving and routing in wood, fiberglass, plastic and soft metals. Not for use with hardened materials. Use higher speeds for hard woods, slower speeds for metals. Use the sides of the cutter (rather than the tip) for effective cutting. The tip cuts poorly and can break under pressure.
- Secure objects to a stable surface while working
- For best results, insert the accessory bit all the way into the tool and then back it out slightly before tightening down, this provides plenty of shank for the collect or chuck to hold onto the bit
- Use higher speeds for hard woods, slower speeds for metals and very slow speeds for plastics (to avoid melting at the point of contact)
- Includes: 2 bits

This cutter is great if you want to engrave some fine details. As with other dremel bits, it is also very easy to install and is very durable. I’ve had mine for years.

Dremel makes the best bits on the market. I made a wooden distressed flag and needed to carve out the stars. I tried other pits, but they were no good. Went up to the Home Depot and purchased th 106 for cleaning out the stars, and a 105 bit for the outline. Very sharp and last a very long time. Not to mention they leave smooth clean cuts. Could not be happier

I bought this product to carve detailed work in wood for my wife. It works excellent. The size of the tip is perfect to carve out the smallest of details you may need to carve. I have had it for about a week now and have used it over and over and it still cuts like new. I recommend this bit. It came in a 2 pack so well worth the money.

This is a replacement bit for making starter holes in vinyl fence-post, fiber-cement siding, steel-tubing and Azek. Dremel cordless tools, bits and blades give me the smaller scale, comfort, and therefore precision I like to achieve without buying many other tools, but then the bits gum up after more than 10 years of use. Worth getting the replacements with a discount coupon, though I do not have a project in-sight yet.
