Turn your Dremel rotary tool into a powerful high-speed cutter. Create stylish designs on wood, fiberglass, ceramics, jewelry, soft metals and more. Our powerful, simple-to-use engraving cutters make it easy to express your creativity. Two cutters per pack. Dermal 115-5/16 in. High speed cutter is ideal for shaping, hollowing, grooving, slotting, inlaying and making tapered holes. For best results, insert the accessory bit all the way into the tool and then back it out slightly before tightening down. This provides plenty of shank for the collect or chuck to hold onto the bit.
- Secure objects to a stable surface while working
- Use the sides of the cutter (rather than the tip) for effective cutting the tip cuts poorly and can break under pressure
- Use higher speeds for hard woods, slower speeds for metals and very slow speeds for plastics (to avoid melting at the point of contact)
- If chattering occurs, increase speed
- Great for cutting on curved surfaces
- Turns Dremel rotary tools into high-speed cutting tools

Used this Dremel bit to miter small blocks of wood. It worked great on both maple and poplar wood.

They cut wood, in a Drexel tool! Yea!

I used this to expand a hole in a hardwood floor. It did expand the hole a little, but it took a surprising long time, and I eventually gave up and used another spade bit. I will use this for trimming and shaping.

You definitely want this bit in your arsenal if you carve anything of a smaller nature or have fine details in your work. This bit is a monster when it comes to removing stock in small areas and perfecting the overall appearance of a project. Like many bits in its category, the blades retain a good edge, but do wear down and require maintenance. The task of correcting this issue can be tedious, and is usually accompanied with a need to clear the cutter channels as well. Personally, I hold Dremel to a higher standard and tend to be a bit hard on the tool and it’s bits, resulting in overheating it at which point it can become loose, slip from the colander, and sometimes act as a projectile. Overall, I recommend this for all carving work, as well as safety glasses and the practice of not pushing your tools to extremes.

I am into wood carving, making tiny models of different people with all sorts of gear. This is the ideal tool for working inside and smoothing out the rough wood grain.

After years of collecting bits for many different materials, I find this bit, and the 7/32 my most used favorites. They seem to be the least stocked bythe big box stores.

Worked really well for the work I was doing.

Did the job with AZEK trim.

Used these many times. Very good on wood shaping/carving and brass at higher speeds. On plastics it seems best with lower speeds to prevent ‘gumming’ from the plastics on the cutting head.

excellent product. I used it to shape a hardwood dowel to make a trigger block for a “safe action” trigger on a new .40 caliber pistol. I was able to cut the exact shape I needed with little effort on my part. The blades are super sharp and it was easy to control the depth of cut. I recommend them.
