When Dremel sent me these to evaluate I had never done any carving. But, what the heck, I decided to see how they work. I took a scrap piece of 2×4 and played with them. Althpouth they look like just round bits, I found that be varying the angle I could achieve quite a few different effects. Although I doubt I will use them to carve decoys, I will use them to do some fine shaping when I build my wooden model boats.

I used it to cut a groove in my cabinet doors to inlay copper wire and it worked great although I needed to use a drill but for pilot holes in some areas because it was not designed for drilling downward.

Tried the cutter in hard wood, soft wood and metal, I’m not much of a carver but they seemed to work better in hard wood. Cut metal very well. Dremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review.

Dremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review, got these from Dremel used them to finish my plumbing job to remove old cutoff shutoff, they ground off the left over metal off just be careful and wear safety glasses.
