I gave it four stars because it works good now, but I will state I am not happy with Dremels. They used to be my favorite tool because you can do so much with it. I have had two of them fail, the last one was a model 3000. Stopped working right in the middle of a task. Looked at the brushes, they were fine. They have a warranty but you have to save your receipt, show proof of where you bought it and when, blah blah. Who saves receipts for two years? I ordered a rotary tool online for about half the price that works fine. Bought this one because I was right in the middle of something and had to finish. Ordered an off brand online and waited for it to arrive. When this model 200 dies its the last one. Kind of odd to give it 4 stars but not recommend it. They just don’t seem to last. First one that failed I put in new brushes and a new switch, no joy. New parts and it still went in the trashcan.

never had one before. got home and read instruction booklet. have to go out and buy bits and the cutting kit before i can do my project. Once I get them I’m sure I’ll love using it. Looks simple to use.

Very hand tool, I have used this for polishing tile, sanding wood, cutting metal and engraving. The Dremel is basically a vertical drill or router with very high RPMs but has a low speed too. This kit comes with a good starter set of tools but there are many other sets you can get such as polishing and engraving. The tool is relatively easy to hold, just make sure you wear a mask and glasses as it has no guards.In this kit is a metal cutting blade I have used before and some sanding and polishing discs. This is a great tool to have for fine work in projects.Bits are fairly easy to add and remove.

Great tool. It did the job I bought it for. The only caveat is it did not have a metal cutter wheel. I had to buy the metal cutter extra. Otherwise would recommend this unit wholeheartily.
