Been hunting this one a while, for when I can’t be arsed to write a cnc program for a Shapeoko 2, and still need the level of precision of guide structures and the like. Use your dremel as a table router. Use it to put slots in Lexan to mount LED strip, works fantastic.

I purchased this item over two years ago. At first, I found it difficult to adjust and had many problems getting consistent cuts or edges. With some trial and error, as well as practice, I have found that the table is more than adequate for small projects and decorative crafts which could not be done on a full sized table. My only complaint is the difficulty I still have with the depth adjustment and the plastic thumb screws used for clamping the rotary tool to the table.

I bought this product with a specific project in mind which required me to use the option to expand the table surface. As per the instruction booklet, I purchased the necessary 3/8” plywood and 1-1/2“ wood supports. After assembly and making my required cutouts found the expansion table did not end up being flush with the tool table. I’m looking at a difference of 1/16”-1/8”. Since my project requires me to make a routing of 1/16” D x 1/16” W this causes a problem and renders this tool unusable for this application. Disappointed! Well made product though. Seems to be perfect for small jobs, just not mine.

For a molded piece of plastic, it is pretty handy. Not a precision piece of equipment, by any means, but for the price, it makes shaping this hobby project wood pretty simple. Doesn’t work well for slotting, but for edge shaping and such, works great.

When I purchased my Dremel Rotary router table, I was expecting Dremel quality and that’s exactly what I got. This is a great table for light hobby work. I recommend using an electric Dremel tool rather than a battery powered one. I only wish they would have come up with a self-clamping method rather than having to screw it onto a work table. Still a good product for the money.

I have read many reviews on the Dremel 231 Router Table and most of them were negative either because of the way the table is mounted or because the tool itself moves too much while in use. Rather than rely on other customer reviews I decided to give it a try myself and I have got to say, I was more than impressed with the craftsmanship and functionality of the Dremel 231 Router table! Mounting the table was definitely not as simple as screwing the router table to a piece of MDF board like some of the reviews that I read recommended but being that you are buying Dremel accessories you can expect to have to use a little bit of creativity to get the job done. Besides using a table saw to cut my boards down to size I was able to use nothing but my Dremel and my Dremel Mini Saw to manufacture a custom Dremel Router Table. Check out my pictures and let me know what you think! Cheers to another fantastic Dremel product!

The router works well and does everything I demanded. The fence is ok, but it is hard to set up stops. Overall, a good buy.

The product is really wonderful for me with lot of crafts I used it for. It is great as most of Dremel tools and attachments. I honestly highly recommend the Dremel shaper/router. It has no similar competitive products. All my hobby sets are of Dremel.

Sorry, I haven’t used it yet except to mount the tool in it. In that respect, it functions as it should.

I bought this to cut slots in stones for “groove wrapped” jewelry. After removing the supplied fence and replacing it with a homemade one, it works for that purpose.

Let me emphasize: This is a Dremel issue, not a Home Depot issue.I got the 231 table yesterday and haven’t actually used it yet. Like another reviewer, I thought something was missing when I opened the box. The instruction booklet and the picture on the box clearly show a tool holder clamp that clearly wasn’t there.Turns out Dremel changed the design of the 231 so that the tool is attached at the top via a large plastic nut. (That’s what the wrench in the parts bag is for.)All that would be fine except they didn’t bother to change the instruction booklet or the picture on the box AND on their website. It’s also the picture on Home Depot’s website. As far as I could find, there is nothing on Dremel’s website that discusses this change. The only reason I found out about it is a couple of reviews on Amazon. If I were Dremel, I’d be embarrassed to be outsourcing customer support to random reviewers on Amazon, but maybe that’s part of their business model.
