I have use this product to mark my other tools in case of loss or theft. I have also used it to engrave medal metal and wood projects that turned out great. The precision of the engraving point is impressive. The ability to write out words in cursive and is legible is amazing. Great product.

Engraver was purchased to mark manufactured parts. It’s an inexpensive tool that does the job well. The only downfall we’ve noticed is that is much louder than the more expensive models.

I think the quality and value of this tool is good as well as the value and being made by Dremel I was able to use some of my other tips in order to put a “signature” on my wood pieces. It might be me but I had a hard time with the engraving; much depends on the hardness of the wood but overall it only worked okay for me. I ended up purchasing a burn in signature stamp that works better than this tool for my purposes. Maybe I’ll find another use down the road. I would recommend this for those who have a steady hand and a good deal of patience.
