This is a very high quality accessory! It is about micro adjustable. I use this for detail and precise router work along with my 4000 series Drexel. You can do most hobby type jobs. An example is router joint on a jewelry box, or precise hinge inlets. Great quality!

This is a nice addition to my tool kit. I’ve already used it to inlay a stone cutting board into my kitchen island using the #652 straight bit. Will be using it to make some frames for a bunch of glass etchings in the coming days. Only negative I can give is that the bolts used to attach the edge guide where a little tricky for someone with arthritis, need to have them permanently attached.

Excellent product to do small projects. Light yet efficient.

I use it to do cut outs for door hinges, latch plates and striker plates. The router bits are a bit expense and don’t seem to last long but otherwise love it. Wish somebody would make some generic bits.

This was a perfect way to introduce my 11 year old to the world of plunge routers without throwing him to the wolves with a big heavy 2 1/4 horse router. He was able to make a basic stand for his game system in a single afternoon.

This is a good tool for small router requirements. You have to be careful not to route any surfaces with paint or glue, like plywood, as they will dull the tool quickly.

This plunge router system was very easy to set up and control. The depth was easily set and the knob was easy to operate. The handles were well placed for control. I used both the edge guide as well as free hand. The edge guide was also easy to adjust and kept the router bit in place — no slippage. I especially liked the depth adjustment — I’ll be using this to set inlays in my future woodworking. I have a hand held router that I’ve used in the past, however, this plunge system is much easier for small wood removal. The only drawback is the power and shank size, my hand held uses a 1/4″ shank (more stable and can remove more wood at one time) and has more power. That being said, I now have two systems to make inlays — I’ll use the Dremel one for fine details, and my hand held one for hogging out larger amounts of wood. The Dremel is superior for detailed work as it is lighter and easier to move making it more accurate. I really like this system!

Using the Router and Dremel for stock removal. Does a great job make shallow passes. Working on wood art projects that require finer cutting than a regular router. Trying the remove about 3/4″ of stock, and have to do it in about 2-3 passes. A 1/4″ at a time.

This attachment is great to use with the 4800 series. Allows to make strait lines with the guide and easy to control the depth of what you need so you dont over do it.

I bought this last year and have used it on several applications. It is very helpful in carving designs into wood. The depth stop is very useful. The tool fits easily into the attachment and is easy to control.

I felt like this attachment worked well with the Dremel tools that I have an it was easy to use with them. The only complaint I had was getting everything setup properly since I don’t really have the perfect space to be able to do that in so had to make some adjustments as required. This worked for the project I needed it for which was making some faux picture frame trim edges to trim out some rectangular shelves I built for the wall of a nursery. It was great since I didn’t have a lot of detail I needed to do and the pieces were short that I used. I don’t think this would be great for larger jobs or long lengths of trim but for small jobs it works great and it was much cheaper going this route. Overall I would recommend this product as I believe it is made well and works for what it was intended for.
