I added the Plunger Router Attachment years ago when I built a curio cabinet for my wife. I was skeptical at first, but was impressed as it sang through the wood and gave me the edges I wanted. I thought about buying a full size router to accomplish the task, but was extremely pleased with the attachment Dremel made available.

Purchased this for mortising a door. It worked beautifully! I have a 275 model dremel and it fits/works perfectly. If you have a dremel and dont have a router and dont want to spend $100 on a router, I definitely recommend giving this a try. With a ~$25 price point you dont have much to lose.

I had never used a router of any kind before so i was excited to get the 335-01 Plunge Router Attachment and try it out. I found it a bit rough at first getting used to how it worked, but it did not take to long before i had it mastered and started making and using for lots of wood projects and dressing up things with all the different bits that are available for it. I have a lot of future plans for it.I think the 335-01 Plunge Router Attachment is a great value and very well made, and a great first for any one looking to get into using a router.

I bought this to help with my new found power carving hobby and it works great. Gives me a nice clean carved surface when I’m done.

Using it to rout around edges of letters, cutting into 1×10″ pine for sign board!!

First things first the instructions could be a bit clearer when your setting it up… remember less is more and the manual should reflect a clear setup then use of the product. And some lube to the rails as they tend to stick when plunging down or returning up. I cut some letters out of plex glass with a small bit and it worked well but as with anything you do test it out on some scrap…. So the deal is, you need a cutter with very little wear taking very light cuts to keep stock from burning and this is what I found out the hard way. Its not a super powered tool but if you take small steps to get the cut you want it can be near perfect. I really wish it had a lock to hold the depth and sell a bracket that you could adapt to a router table… might try to find someone to 3d print it. The circular adapter for cutting circles I have not used yet but might be useful for making holes for fixtures or the like, would like to see how well it would work on drywall or sheetrock. 😛

The tool is everything as advertised but why doesn’t the local store have a source of Dremel router bits? In fact, any accessories are almost nil. Maybe you should work on that.

Much easier to control for smaller jobs than a full size router & plunge. Too bad dremel router bits don’t hold up very well.

Wow, received this the other day, and boy does it make things easier. Before this, I either had to bring out a larger router, or do things freehand. Well, I thought I was decent at going freehand, but after using this, and comparing results, I was wrong. This router is very useful, especially for small detail work. It’s fairly simple to use, and adjust as needed.

I love this product because it’san attachment. Why buy a whole separate device?

A good tool for light-weight work. Tried to do some routing and realized that it’s not powerful to go very deep since it’s battery powered. But then used it with a grinding stone and was able to accomplish a couple of tasks smoothing my routed letters. So it is a good “second step”.

I use it at work and at home, it seems to be what it was designed for and well a little more. I look forward to seeing more attachments in the future. Best tool on earth. Thanks Dremel

This this router base. There was a small learning curve, but once that’s out of the way, it is awesome.

The plunge router attachment is such a great addition to our Dremel tool collection. I knew that it would come in handy for jobs that required this specific type of tool, but now I’m realizing all of the different possibilities in our crafting and woodworking as well. It’s of good quality, and it’s easy to use and adjust. I would recommend it to any do-it-yourselfer or woodworker.

This tool is awesome! It helps to add flare to any piece of wood work. It is simple to use, and setup. I can see many more future uses for this product. It even works with the 8v Dremel too. Great to not have to worry about cords, although the workload for that tool while using this router was a little much at times. Otherwise this tool is well worth buying!

For an arts-and-crafts project for the wife, I had to rout a couple of half-inch-deep slots into cherrywood. Used a Dremel #650 bit. It went well enough, considering this was the first time I used the attachment. Could not have done it without this little contraption. The build is, well…cheap, as you might expect for at tool with such a low price . All plastic except for two steel 10” rods to guide straight cuts. For any serious routing, neither the Dremel tool or this guide are to be considered, but that’s the deal with these. But they functioned well together for my very light-duty job. Will use it again, glad I bought it. Extra comment: Not that Dremels are dangerous if you exercise reasonable care—but do yourself a favor: Be a sissy and wear a face shield. Extra extra comment: Dremel sells a little fan attachment that blows dust away while cutting. I should have used one, would have made the grooves straighter if I could have seen what I was doing.

I have very much enjoyed using this Dremel Add On with my craft projects, I have used it in conjunction with the Dremel Vise to hold my craft project.
