A good tool for light-weight work. Tried to do some routing and realized that it’s not powerful to go very deep since it’s battery powered. But then used it with a grinding stone and was able to accomplish a couple of tasks smoothing my routed letters. So it is a good “second step”.

Great for smaller jobs. Multiple passes for anything larger than an 1/8 of an inch depth.Hard for me to change bits as my fingers can’t press the lock button once the dremel is attached.

It is useful for what it is intended for. It was more difficult to adjust and maintain the adjustment then i had expected it to be. Otherwise, turns your dremel into a mini router as expected.

Router base with easily assembled. It was missing some of the small hex/square nuts it should have come with. The spindle lock was somewhat inconvenient to use when changing bits. Found it easier to use a nail head to depress the lock. Tightening the collet nut with the standard collet wrench was challenging as I could only 1/2 way around before hitting the posts the router slid up and down on. Ended up using one of my wrenches.Over all worked well with light cuts.

Using the Router and Dremel for stock removal. Does a great job make shallow passes. Working on wood art projects that require finer cutting than a regular router. Trying the remove about 3/4″ of stock, and have to do it in about 2-3 passes. A 1/4″ at a time.

This accessory is very lightweight, not nearly as well made as the Dremel tool itself. It allows the tool to flex when you push it harder than it’s (the plunge router base) designed for. I wish they would make it heavier duty, even if they had to double or triple the cost! This one is a good value, especially at the price my local store had on it – $21, approximately 1/3 off normal. Upon reflection, I think the plunge base that Stewart-McDonald, the guitar repair outfit, sells. It is mostly metal construction, while the Dremel brand unit is virtually all plastic. OK performance, great value.

While I have only had time to try this on sample pieces of wood, I believe this plunger router attachmnet will meet my needs fine. Directions are easy.

I bought this in order to do small woodworking items with my Dremel 4000. I have to say this is hands down the best attachment you could by for a Dremel!I have read other reviews on here but would have to disagree with the negative ones. The tool works as advertised! Its quick, easy to use, easy to set, maintains the depth settings easily, and is easy to take down and store. I have no issues with this item at all. I have already recommended it to family members who use a Dremel and the ones who have bought it love it!

The bits fit most Dremmel machines and can be used freehand, but I would advise on buying the routing table extension base so you can secure the machine and get the depth you want. The bits should be used at 15K to 20K r.p.m. and only on soft materials. If using the base, you may want to have tweezers handy as the thin bit will sink into the chuck when replacing, so a pinch clamp, or self holding tweezer helps keep you from having to take it all apart.

It does in fact allow you to mount a dremel and use it like a plunge router. Works rather well for rough cutting pieces from boards to then cut on my Shapeoko 2.

Purchased this set to be able to modify a wall hanging for my granddaughter. It has the exact bit I needed at a lower cost than the individual bits.

Great product, I already used the piloted round bit, although I wish the piloted bits had the ball bearing.
