This tool was purchased to be used for some home renovations. I was in need of a very small router to cut reliefs in the back side of the face frames on our kitchen cabinets. The rollers on our kitchen cabinet drawers were worn out and I wanted to replace them with undermount slides. To accomplish this I was in need of a router small enough to work inside the cabinet frames without disassembling the cabinets. This tool was ideal for the job at hand, one of the advantages of this tool was where space was at a premium I could also use the tool as a grinder to remove the material for the slides. All in all this small tool did all I asked of it, very pleased with it.

I have other Dremel rotary tools and they have all stood the test of time. I found myself needing slower speeds for some operations and had held off on getting another tool. he very first use convinced me that I had waited too long. The ability to vary the speed for the cutter/abrasive/operation really ups the quality of your work. The newer unit is a bit louder and more vibration prone than older units. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Again The Home Depot and DREMEL have come up with the perfect “Die Grinder” kit for everyday use by an even average di-it-yourselfer !The tool is variable speed so you can grind at your pace. 1.6 amp rate is great !The 38 accessory bits and adaptors make it perfect for jobs ranging from wood, tile and plastics grinding, all the way to porting and polishing your favorite car’s cylinder heads !!GREAT tool I highly recommend !!
