The Dremel 4300 is the first Dremel rotary tool to allow tool-less and collet-less accessory changes with the inclusion of the three-jaw chuck. The chuck accepts all Dremel accessory shank sizes for fast and convenient accessory changes without ever using a wrench. Featuring the all new Pivot Light, your projects are well-lit with an optimum line of sight since the light pivots to direct illumination where you want it. Experiencing the full range of Dremel rotary tool applications is easier than ever because the 4300 offers our most powerful motor with built-in variable speed and electronic feedback circuitry. And the slim, ergonomic body design provides a comfortable 360° grip zone no matter how you hold it for extended ease of use. The completely redesigned airflow system lets the Dremel 4300 run cool, quiet and smooth so completing projects are more enjoyable than ever. The Dremel Ultra-Saw Tool Kit does everything the Dremel Saw-Max can do, and more. With a 7.5 Amp motor and durable drive train, the Ultra-Saw delivers more power for making long cuts. A metal foot and guard resist the heat generated by heavy-duty jobs like grinding and cutting metal. Large, 3.5 in. and 4 in. cutting wheels provide fast cutting speeds and improved performance in a wide variety of materials. Plus, with exclusive accessories, the Ultra-Saw can also perform surface preparation tasks like removing paint, rust and thin-set mortar.
- 4300-5/40: Variable-speed with electronic feedback for consistent performance in all applications
- 4300-5/40: Separate on/off switch and speed control dial for added convenience between jobs
- 4300-5/40: Replaceable motor brushes extend tool life
- 4300-5/40: Cool-running ball bearing construction for smooth and quiet operation
- The Ultra Saw’s 7.5 Amp motor delivers high performance in tough applications
- Ultra Saw has fast cutting speed to rip through plywood and cut more metal

Works great; I had a early version unit that was 20 years old; worked great yet but was noisy. This one is so quiet compared to the old one and has so much more power too. So it is a keeper and the old one will get donated for someone to use.

I bought this a couple of months ago, initially in connection with some deferred maintenance on my log home – debarking, trimming back knots and so forth. It performed very well, particularly with the flush wood cutting blade. More recently, I used it in an unrelated project in which I really pushed its limits – and it again performed superbly. I have a low end Craftsman table saw with narrow miter gauge fence channels cast into the aluminum table. I bought an Incra miter fence and noticed that the table channels were nonstandard and too narrow for the Incra fence. The remedy was to enlarge the channels. I set up my ripping fence and, registering off that, cut the channel with this saw using the metal cutting blade. I found that a little WD40 on the cut kept things from getting too hot. Here are two pics – one showing the saw in use and the other showing the result. Fantastic!

Very powerful and easy handling. Best Dremmel I’ve used by far and highly recommend.

I think this is a great tool. I bought it to grind my dogs’ nails and it does a good job. I love the variable speeds as it gives me greater control of both the grinding and the sound so the dogs don’t get freaked out. Thank you to the reviewer of a smaller model who said to just bite the bullet and buy the 4300. S/he was absolutely right.

If I’m comparing to what the competitive hand saw sets are offering, this one lacks in accessories. It doesn’t have the laser guide and the cutting guide, and doesn’t come with a diamond blade. Not to happy with the purchase.

This saw is a must have tool. I’ve used it to cut metal gutters, plywood, brick, and plastic. It’s easy to use, and blade are available for what ever material you need to cut. And it lightweight and easy to maneuver allowing you to make precise straight cuts.

I have only had the Dremel 4300 for a short while, so I cannot report extensively on it. However, I can tell you that it has plenty of power for my intended uses – carving and general handiwork where a small power tool is advantageous. I used it to sand bond-do and I had to make light passes to keep it from gouging. It runs both faster and quieter than former models, because Dremel improved the design and manufacture of a tool that was already highly regarding. It feels like it is running on less power, but that is because it vibrates less than older tools. (This technology shift reminds of the first time I watched a Boeing 747 take off – in 1969 – and incorrectly concluded that it must be low on power because it was an order of magnitude quieter on take-off than a Boeing 707 or 727. It turns out that the newer engine use higher bypass rations that better mix exhaust gases with ambient air, thereby reducing the energy of sound waves. In other words, the new airliner was quieter because it had much more efficient engines.)

Smooth and powerful. This quality at the price is not worth gambling with off-brand gambits.Like the compatibility and pray the Dremel line expands, even more.Highly recommend the 4300, especially with the Dremel flex shaft attachment.

Tool very easy to use. I purchased the remote attachment as well as the plunge router attachment. For detail work, the remote hand held unit is great.
