Got this as a Christmas present from my son & daughter. Began using it a few days later for trimming laminate flooring. Following day use it to cut a steel wire off. Also used it for grinding. Never thought a tool which I never had, would be so useful. I originally wanted it for sharpening. Turns out, it can be used for several things which I never thought of.

This Dremel tool set up it great but for there’s way too many sandpaper rolls and not enough cutting wheels or grinding wheels.

I’ve used a Dremel tool for years, and all the Dremel products are fine! This kit is just an example of how their products keep getting better. My original Dremel was a #275 – single speed, corded, 1.15 amp. Tough to kill it, and when you do kill it, the parts needed for repair are available and reasonably priced. The 4300 motor in this kit is 1.8 amps and the variable speed is a new feature for me to play with – I look forward to trying the lower speeds for polishing metals and plastic. This new motor is smoother and quieter than my old Dremel motor. The 4300 motor is heavier than I’m used to, but the kit inclues a flexible shaft. Just hang to motor up and use the flex shaft for fine control doing detail work. This kit includes a vast array of attachments and accessories – 9 attachments and 64 accessories. Some are ‘old friends’ while others are new to me – I even had to use the Operating Instructions to learn how to use them. This booklet is good reading and informative – I found it exciting to go through the booklet and try out the new attachments. I was particularly impressed with the convenience of the new (to me) EZ Drum and EZ Lock accessories – a great improvement over the older accessories that need a screw driver to change the abrasive. The kit also includes a nice tool box for keeping all this stuff in one place and ready for use. I wonder if the tool box is available on its own?

It’s all the power in tools in one box! I love to create art pieces and this power station box has already made its money back. Dremel stands by its name, next on my list is the FortiFlex Heavy Duty tool for best of both work engravers.

This Dremel tool is one of the best tools ever! It does so many different things! Look at the picture of the back of the box to see all the accessories and attachments that come with it. You can cut, file, engrave, scroll, sand, polish on just about everything; wood, metal, drywall and the list goes on and on. You can also see many beautiful projects on the box cover. I made a video of cutting the bolt on the base of my toilet. They were so long,I could never find covers for them. Please note that the space was very crampedand I had to lay over the top of the toilet so I wasn’t exactly holding the toolcorrectly but even with adverse circumstances, this tool was so easy to use and didthe job so fast with such little effort and turned out great for getting into a small space. It has a headlight on it too, which I forgot to turn on!The ez lock change takes a little getting used to but once you do it a couple of timesyou get it. I found it worked better if I put the wheel on the mandrel first and then putthe mandrel in the chuck.I cannot wait to start so many projects I have on my to do list. You can even send pictures to Dremel’s website of things that you have made and they will postit there. It comes with a beautiful and rugged carrying case that is well organized to fits everythingand I have to say it is way more than I ever expected. Be sure to read the manual as itexplains important things like not applying pressure and letting the tool do the work, how to change theaccessories and attachments, how to hold the tool properly and safety precautions, etc.I love it and I HIGHLY recommend it!! Can’t wait to get started on some creative, fun stuff andnot just repairs around the house.

I have always loved Dremel. I’ve gotten so much more use out of this one than I had ever imagined. Wood projects of any sort? Easy. Exhaust? Done. Cams? Flawless. Great speed control, easy to use, The attachments are fantastic and I have found use for everything. The separate speed and power control is as convenient as anything could be. The power on this one is impressive to say the least. I’m looking for things it can’t do at this point.

It was a gift and they are very happy with the Dremel said they’ve used it a few times and it worked great.

Dremel could have done a little better with the LED. Why does it need a separate battery when it’s attached to a corded unit? Also the switch for the LED is kind of hard to flip. Other than that it does exactly what it’s supposed to, and the hard case that it comes in, is better than in the past.
