If you are starting to invest in additions to any of the Dremel Rotary Tool Line I believe an investment in a 1/32 in. Rotary Tool Multi-Pro Chuck is well worth adding to your Rotary Tool. I use the Chuck with my EZ Lock Mandrel and its Attachments often in wood sanding and removing rust from any number of objects from small hard to reach spots while stripping the body of a Gas Grill to cleaning lawn and garden tools. Changing out the various grades of sanding attachments and the short life detailing an intricate item will use up such attachments quickly, I use the Dremel Chuck to keep a good flow to my work and keep from constantly having to take time out to prep a new attachment. I have used the Dremel Rotary Tool for the past 28 years, this was one of the two most welcome attachments I have found in that time for my Dremel. I bought this for my husband for Christmas. I knew he wanted one, but he’s the tool expert, so I took a chance with this particular one. I figured he could return it or replace it if it wasn’t what he was looking for. He said it was more than perfect! It turned out to be better than the one he had picked out. It’s a great tool and was well worth the price.

Dremel rotary tools have been my primary go to device as I repair, rebuild & fabricate parts for pianos, accordions, etc. And the collet nut set is indispensable as it permits drills, cutting tips, sanding tips, etc. to be attached quickly. Dremel does a great job with their tools. I’ve used third party bits, etc., & been disappointed repeatedly.Dremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review.

Everything I read said Dremel and Hyper Tough parts were interchangeable. They aren’t. This chuck is to small to go on the threads of the Hyper Tough. I specifically saw this chuck recommended for Hyper Tough. I assume the actual bits are interchangeable. — I’m hoping Home Depot will take this back. (I was very careful with the package.)

This has been the basic method to secure your attachments for the 28 Years I have used many different models of the Dremel Rotary Tool. The Dremel Rotary Tool Quick Change Collet Nuts come with every Rotary Tool as a basic method to secure the various attachments securely… Don’t lose them. This Collet set works exceptionally well and with the simple wrench that comes with your dremel will keep you working as it’s an inexpensive back-up for my Dremel. I have moved onto other Chucks like Dremel EZ495 Nose Cap as I expanded my collection of accessories and parts, It allows an even quicker opening of the Dremel’s Collet to change out attachments… I think it also comes with your Dremel Rotary Tools now. My part of choice as I invested more is Dremel 4486 Keyless Chuck which opens and closes as a common Power Drill’s Keyless Chuck would, as I use multiples of attachments at a time I’ve become addicted to its use. If you like the idea of being able to easily swap your bits in and out, this makes complete sense. Plus, it’s priced about the same as having two collets of varying sizes, but it works for all sizes. It makes life way easier.
