A slim, aluminum tube that provides the optimal grip for holding a bit in a Dremel rotary tool. Dremel 480 1/8 in. collet for models 245, 250, series 3 and later, 260, 270, 280, series 2 and later, 275, 285, 370, 380, 395, 595, 850, 750, 232, 332, 241, 246, 277 and 8504, number 225 and 90199 flex shaft attachments and hand piece 235 and 237. Collets work with the collet nut (threaded) to hold the accessory in the end of the tool.
- Collet features small identification rings around its shank, these rings correspond with the size of the collet: 0 rings equal to 1/8 in., 3 rings equal to 3/32 in., 2 rings equal to 1/16 in., 1 ring equal to 1/32 in.
- Collets are compatible with 225 flex-shaft attachment
- For use with all rotary tools except discontinued models 1, 2 and series 1 or earlier of discontinued models 260, 270 and 280

- Use higher speeds for hard woods, slower speeds for metals and very slow speeds for plastics (to avoid melting at the point of contact) if chattering occurs, increase speed

I don’t get why there has to be so many different collet and spindles for Dremel type tools. I am glad that you can buy different sizes from Dremel to handle this. They fit perfectly in all the tools I have.
