I have been trying to restore an antique sofa…and when I took off all the old upholstery, I saw I had more work to do… It’s got carvings etc…it was a nightmare in the making until I decided to buy a Dremel…I saved myself a lot of frustration and time by doing so. They have a large variety of attachments and I’m thankful I bought them. This one works well. I also bought the little wire wheel and a few other sanding and polishing wheels. I don’t know what I’d do without them. P.S. get the flexible hand attachment. It makes it easy to get in the hard to reach areas.

I needed a way to sand the pillar of an old oak table I was refinishing. I used this attachment and it worked OK, but is VERY EASY to go too deep so beware of this. Also, the sandpaper quickly wears down, rendering the product useless, so be sure you know that you’ll need several for your project and they will need to be replenished (like any sandpaper task). Hand sanding still works better for me. I am glad I tried this, the experience of how it worked may come in handy for a future refinishing project.
