I had a shower grout removal project that required different size bits due to different gap sizes. This bit worked quite well for my purposes.

Good for detailed removal of grout. Very slow for removing a lot of grout.

This bit made passes through the grout so easy, leaving nothing behind

This grout removal bit is amazing! I bought two, thinking one would get dull or break before I finished the job of widening the cracks in the hard as a rock glazing around a huge picture window and two side windows. I widened the over 60 feet of cracks enough to install some caulking to seal up the windows before the winter breezes came into the house again this year. One bit was enough to complete the job and it is still whole and sharp!

Worked better than anything I have ever tried for grout. Just have to be very careful not to hit the tile with it, it will chip/cut the tile.

This little carbide bit saved me hours of work. I’m glad HD had it.

Grout removal bit is overpriced however it does the job. Quality tool and look forward to learning all the tasks that can be performed with this. My recommendation on charging would be to have the “fuel gauge” on the charger. You have to guess when it is up to 3 lights (100%) or else take it back off the tool and stick it back in the charger for a little while longer. Small inconvenience though.

Effortlessly cuts through grout. Minimal penetration to tile edges when using careful straight movement.

The Dremel 1/8″ rotary tool bit for “grout removal” worked well for my application and saved a lot of time over using a manual grout saw. I bought 2 due to some reviewers claiming short tool life but only needed one to complete my 300 sqft project. Please note that I was cleaning thinset from the grout joints , not actual grout. The type of material you are removing will be a significant factor as to the life of the tool bit. They are pricey, especially if the tool life is short, but far easier than using a manual grout saw.

I wrote a 3 star review last month, and in all fairness, I think the job was too big for this removal bit. If you’re doing a tile replacement or other small tile job, it is more than adequate. I will echo what I read on other reviews – Run at low speeds and angle bit to use as much of the grinding area on the bit.

Did not last long, I even cooled it will water sprayed form a trigger spray bottle. I have and old one that lasted till I got the job completed and it was still working, but got kinda dull at the end. wouldn’t buy it again.

I used this to remove old grout at the base of our shower. It was fast and accurate. When done I was able to fill in with new grout and make the joint between the ceramic tile walls and terrazo floor look brand new.
