The grout removal accessory worked well for us and probably works even better on actual grout. We used it to clean out excess thinset after setting small sections of glass tile; it was the only tool that would budge the extra strong thinset. We wore down three of these carbide accessories in total before completing the job, but still consider the purchase(s) a bargain.

Both the 1/16 and 1/8 grout bits worked wonderfully….first time I’ve used them for this project. Be sure to follow the instructions for speed and holding the main unit so as to avoid inadvertently covering the “breathing” gills and not allowing the unit proper ventilation. ALSO, I suggest in addition to proper wrap-around safety glasses, you put on a surgical mask to cover your noes and mouth. These grout removal bits generated a whole lot of dust like Talcum powder.

If you have a Dremel, this is the tool to have for removing Grout from between ceramic tiles. When grout does not setup correctly or breaks down over time due to poor setup. The bit will make the grout turn into dust when the Dremel is set on high or one step down from high. Which ever works for you.

Worked well, but I have so much to do that I decided to get a blade for my angle grinder.

Does the job! I had stone flooring in my shower with a few rocks that were touching causing the grout to pop out. I used the Dremel with this it and it cut the stone to 1/8 gap which solved my issue.

They work and are effective but they are fragile and brittle so they can break easily

Worked extremely well and made the job very easy when removing areas of older cracked grout. Allowed us to fine tune the clean up of the spaces.

Worked as advertised, will wear out but very effective.

This really does a great job at removing the grout. It is important though to not go at a very high speed I believe it is rated for around 20 thousand RPMs.
