I bought the The Factory Reconditioned Dremel Trio Tool System because of the price. What I found was that it works great for switch bow cutouts in drywall. It is very easy to control. I hope to try it as a router on small fine hobby projects but that will have to wait until I find bits.

Good tool, good price. The only thing is that almost all the extra accessories are missing.

I bought this a few weeks ago and have not been able to enjoy it yet because my shop is not heated, but, have played with it a bit. Glad I bought it and look forward to many years of use. A few modifications for my use and it should work just great.

basically a good product for the price but did not include the cutting blades for tiles and that is the only reason I purchased it

My Dremel Trio Tool is a great addition to anybody’s power tools. It has great power and with practice makes fine cuts and sanding jobs a great pleasure. I use the Dremel Trio on thin woods to make dado-joining cuts. For Small shelves and bird houses with feeders. The cuts can be made to closely fit for strong joints. I also make scrollwork for sign edging. I save my frustration I have had with other company’s rotary tools. It’s adjustable fencing helps with the straight cuts and the circles are just great. Your imagination is the only thing holding you back.

Having the capability to act as a drill and saw is really good. I don’t care much about using it as a router.

great tool. I like this better than a roto-zip mainly due to the ability to adjust the “handle” for use

keeping it as you never know—thought this would be more versatile but it is not…limited

I got this as a gift right before it was discontinued and have just recently had the opportunity to do the woodworking I’ve long wanted to do. I was enjoying it for this past week (after ordering the Trio router bits – and the instruction manual lists a wrong item number so I had another day’s delay) when just now it STOPPED dead in the middle of a routing pass! I want to wake up and have it work – fingers crossed – but I’ve unplugged, reset, waited for it to cool, made sure other Dremel tool work on the same electrical outlet – nothing. SO SAD!!! Anyone ever experience this and what do I do?

Indispensable and a must have for the home projects. It is a capable asset in more projects than I had expected. I should have purchased this years ago. The only issue I had was the included collet wrench was the wrong size. This is a fantastic value, I should have purchased more for gifts.

This tool will come in handy for many of my do it yourself projects.

I have had the Dremel Trio for a couple of years now and love it and last night it carved it’s last wooden sign. I have pushed this tool to the extreme over and over with great results. I am on my way now, on Sunday morning to pick up another one. If you need to cut fine straight lines on a flat surface, with maximum control over the tool, the Dremel Trio is what you need. The only accessories I wish the Trio had, is a wider base to span cuts and larger viewing port . Also a better depth adjustment control.

Bought this as a reconditioned tool. It was in like new condition. Haven’t used it much yet but look forward to doing much light work with it. Plan to purchase router bits for it to use for supplemental edge finishing. Well thought-out tool. Have already added the dust control fixture.

The Quality and Value of the tool are great. The case and tool were in great shape arriving. I can’t even tell it was reconditioned. The tool works great and as advertised. The reason it got 3 stars instead of 5 is because the shaft size that the tool supports isn’t even sold at two of my local home depots. So imagine my surprise when I go to buy some additional bits for the tool only to find that the store not only doesn’t sell the same model I just got anymore, but also doesn’t sell any bit sizes relevant to the tool.If you’re prepared to go find some bits elsewhere or online then this tool is probably a good deal for you.

Despite some not-so-favorable reviews, I opted to give the Dremel Trio a chance. I’ve had my original Dremel tool for over eight years and it’s still working like a champ. That coupled with the crazy price this was being offered at, I couldn’t pass it up. It has been almost a month and I have used the Trio on several projects: routing, cutting, and drilling. My first instinct was to take it a little easy, not wanting to put too much strain on the motor, but then I figured I should see how it performs for real: at that price, if it fails, I haven’t lost much. I was VERY pleased. The Trio easily took what I dished out and handled the last board just as easily as it did the first. My only regret is that I did not buy four more to pass out to my sons for their workshops!

As above, the shank is larger then the tools for the small hand tool. I seems that stores don’t carry them and one has to order them.you all don’t carry them.

I would not use it for (light) routing jobs – the Bosh Colt is inexpensive and much better – but the Trio does well for fine scroll saw-like jobs. I used it for plunge-cutting precision holes in 1/2′ wood and drywall (with a very simple square I made) and the results were fine. It has much more stability than the traditional spiral saws. I don’t know if I would buy it at full price but a reconditioned unit has a place in my home shop. My DIY wife is comfortable with it which is a major plus.
