My wife uses this Dremel to trim and smooth dogs’ to nails as part of her job as a groomer. With a set of rechargeable alkaline batteries, she can do 35 to 40 sets of nails before the batteries need recharge. Her old 4.8 volt rechargeable struggled to get through 2 sets of nails before needing a recharge. I have been asked to order at least one more so that she can have one for the house. The only complaint that I have is that it is a little awkward to change the batteries quickly.

More power than you would expect from a 4xAA battery powered tool. The price is right too. For someone like me who would only use a Dremel on widely space occasions, it’s a good fit.

Cordless and right sized. Works with all the adapters for my large Dremel tool. Great for quick fixes or crafts.

I use this Dremel for grinding my 5 dogs toenails. This works well as it is fairly quiet as dremels go, and being lightweight is a real plus. This tool has been in use for me for at least a year, and no issues.

I purchased This product in 2006 and have used it for everything except carving pumpkins. I have mostly used rechargeable batteries in it with no problems. it has been one of the greatest bargains I have bought in the last few years. I have used this tool more than my corded Dremel for the last 7 years.

Works very well to take the edges off nails of a large shepherd & smaller 25 lb dog after clipping (w/ human toe nail clipper). It’s smaller size allows a better grip. No cord to get in the way. Uses alkaline batteries which I prefer over most tool-specific rechargeables (which are more expensive to replace, difficult to find). Still using the same sander bands a year later.

Plenty of power, economical AND lastly, has stable battery power rather than a NiCd that runs down easily and has the memory problem as other Dremels

I have tried a few other battery powered rotary tools that had no where near the power of this one. It takes a lot of pressure against the material to stop it. Easy to handle.

Bought it to grind my dog’s nails. Much cheaper than what petsmart is selling. Does the job.

People have been hard on this little tool, yes it does go through batteries quickly! But using a bit of ingenuity makes it a great tool. You can purchase yourself 4 rechargeable batteries and charger for under 10 bucks. With this approach we’ll never going to blow through AA’s and in a pinch keep a 4 pack of reg batteries. And, no its not a a performer like my A/C Dremel either. Again, ITS A SMALL PORTABLE UNIT. Perfect addition to my tool box .. Glad I bought it!.
