Good basic tool for very light work. Won’t take attachments because the top does not unscrew but there are plenty of other free-hand attachments. You can put cutting tools in but no way to guide them.

This tool is portable, and works great for my purpose of carving stone animals, but uses up batteries way too fast. I really wish there was an optional rechargeable battery replacement for the battery pack. I really do not understand the need to eliminate the battery and charger, I would much rather have a charger and an extra battery, than to have to keep buying new batteries.

nice little tool. This is my second one. The first one wouldn’t hold the charge anymore and it cost about the same to buy a new one than to buy a new battery.

Not very powerful but works perfect on models and rc hobby.I like that I can take it out of my stuff put batt. In and go no need to wait for charging to be done .

Wish Dremel had considered a new design for the battery compartment. That is the only reason it got 4 instead of 5 stars. Good product, good replacement product. Awesome that the old attachments fit the new model.

Works great. Had trouble assembling, pieces fit so tightly, had to bring it in to Home Depot to get it together!

Everything worked as expected

I liked it enough that I’d give it to a friend. I might just do that, as I have a corded unit that gets used 90% of the time. I should keep this one in a place easier to get to. Works great with Eneloops.

best part of this tool is it uses AA batteries NOT a rechargeable battery pack that you cant fine replacements for.Good tool for those small jobs

I have been using one of these for about 5 yrs and it has preformed well. It is not as powerfull as a corded tool but it is great for deburring. Get a few rechargeable AA batteries and a fast charger and this thing is great.Don’t drop it though, I have had to glue it a few times as it cracked after being dropped ones too often

I bought this for pumpkin carving so it did do its job, only downfall is the battery life. So you get what you pay for. I was not in the position to buy the rechargable one so this one had to do. Over all it did do what I wanted and we ended up with really nice pumpkins.

This dermal is easy to use and store and also very well made. It is a wonderful tool to use for woodcarving and other projects around the home. I highly recommend it to my friends and family.

I purchased 2 of these. One for me, and one for a gift. The “AA” battery option is much more convenient to replenish than waiting for a new charge (as with the 7.2V NiCad model). Not as powerful as the electric version. Granted. I have one (electric), if needed. For me, This is a handy tool for small jobs where the extension cord is cumbersome or just won’t be available. A replacement power source such as an extra set of AA batteries will be sweet.Note:use a screwdriver when needed. use a hammer drive drill when needed. every tool has it’s place. A Dremel is not a machine shop lathe. It’s a Dremel.

I use it manly for fine tuneing coped moldings on inside corners. I/4″ barrel works great getting into small areas.
