Loved this! My dog’s nails are so strong that this has been the only thing that works other than clippers (had a bleeder once- wont do that again), and after trying a few different battery operated ones. I had been using a course sandpaper that was taking 45 minute sessions before this (which is how I found it). Now we can go quickly, because it works so well. Takes about 10 minutes for all 4 legs (including soothe time) instead of 1.5 hours!!! Comes with lots of backup sanding heads. I only wish I had found this sooner! The only thing I worry about is getting replacement sander heads. One sander head lasted me about 3 trims, although I did use the used sander head for filing down some tree bark, I just couldn’t easily get through nails anymore with it. Cross that bridge when I come to it but wished i had ordered more heads initially as I feel too lazy to search around right now!

I got this to do my extra-large dogs nails. The sander gets hot quick on the nail even on low speed & it is simply to large to use with out touching paw pads. Not FUN for your pet or you!!

the product works well. I would like to use the guide but my medium size dog’s nails don not reach the sanding disc with the guide on the tool. Is there a way to raise the sanding disc or make the guide closer to the sanding disc. It would work much better if I could use the guide.

I have used a cordless Dremel on my dogs toenails for years because I don’t have to worry about cutting into the quick and they’re nice and smooth when done. I needed a new one and was unable to find a replacement where I usually purchase them. I took a chance w/ HD & found it. I purchased 2. They work great and this one’s even quieter than my last.

My daughter used this for the dog and switches the attachments to do her own acrylic nails. Dog doesn’t like the noise though

Good for dog nail trimming. Quick and easy without fears of cutting too short.

My puppy didn’t like it the first time I tried it, then tried it the next day with help using the drum feature. He did very well and I just trimmed a little to get him use to the sound. Did all nails with success.

we have a corded Dremel, but, our Doberman doesn’t like how noisy it is. This was the perfect solution. Thanks!

Very happy with this for grinding nails on my Shih Tzu. I do wish it had a guard though. That would be an improvement.

I bought this to replace the original 750 Mini-Mite, which I’d had for many years. It’s light and easy to handle, and the battery lasts a surprisingly long time. I use it mainly with a grinding burr for cleaning up 3D printed models, and the low speed is perfect for removing defects without softening the plastic or taking off too much too quickly. I also use it with a cutting wheel to shape circuit boards for my electronics projects. and any time I need to drill small holes. It’s much more convenient for that than my full size drill.

I bought the cordless pet grooming tool because my dogs nails are so thick and hard, I’m unable to us clippers on the nails. The Drexel pet grooming tool, lets me grind down his nails without hurting my dogs or me.

Easy to use and not too loud. Still getting my pup used it as she’s only had them cut at pet salons…so just getting adjusted to the best way to position her so she’s comfortable. But the tool works great, & pays for itself in 2 uses! Excited to DIY her nails now.

I bought this in January 2017 and still works perfectly, exactly like the day I bought it. The reviews gave me the impression the battery wouldn’t last long but it is still like new. I use it every two weeks on my 50 lb. dog. I had never used a nail grinder and my dog was incredibly fearful of having her nails handled. It’s been such a great find and a good solution after vet increased price for nail trimmings to $20. I’d always trimmed my other dogs nails with clippers in the past no problem but between her fear which had her snapping at me and her black nails, that wasn’t working. With the grinder I never trim too close. I can see the white dot inside her nail appear when I get close so it doesn’t matter that her nails are black. She wears a basket style muzzle (so her breathing is not inhibited like other style muzzles) because every once in a while she’ll get nervous and snap. Wearing the muzzle keeps us both calm and she is always happy to see the muzzle because to her it means treats! Initially it was hard to figure out a good position, I looked at YouTube videos for ideas and eventually found it’s easiest for me for her to lay on her side, switching sides as needed. Good luck.

This tool is amazing for trimming my dogs nails. Super easy to use and the battery lasts a long time. I use this for my big dogs nails since the clippers don’t cut them very well and he doesn’t seem to be bothered by the noise. It is fairly quiet compared to some other ones. Very highly recommend.
