First, if you have or have not used Dremel Rotary Tools before, I suggest you keep the box your attachments came in… It’s your project in a box. I cleaned up the stickers and cut the top tab and it now resided in my tool box in a ready to use state. The only thing I would add is a tiny screwdriver, not unlike one used to repair your glasses, and place it in the box… This is great help in changing sanders and disks until you decide if you would like to move up to the many bits you can purchase with quick connects. This set will help in getting simple projects and in finishing others, it feels best to me to recommend it for those just starting out with the Dremel Router.

I like this set it came in handy with a small project I was working on. used the burrs to make a few grooves in a frame i was making. The small sanding drums were nice for claening up some inside openings.

This kit is perfect for the little tight spots where you need to sand and want to do it quickly and easily. I just added some under cabinet lights in my kitchen which required some holes to be drilled in the cabinets. I used these little sanders to zip right through smoothing out the drilled holes. Worked perfectly for the task and their size made it easy to fit into the corners of the cabinets I was working in.

Even the box is useful. Keep the boxes because they will stack on each other and you’ll have the accessories with you. The accessories are perfect to keep this box in your tool box. Enough of tools to make adjustments on wood projects.

I like that I got both abrasive and routing bits instead of having to buy two full separate packs. The tools worked as expected, but I really dig the small box they come in – the plastic separator has a bunch of space beneath it for additional sanding discs so I can load extras and move them to the front as needed

I’ve been using the bits found in this kit for several weeks now and have found that it’s a good place to start when looking for bits to get wood carving. The bits come in a handy storage case which makes it easy to get at what you need. I was a little disappointed to see my bits had fallen out of their holders and were banging together upon arrival however.The kit includes the Dremel sanding drum and replaceable sanding bands. I find these great for roughing out smaller carvings and getting things to shape. They seem to keep their grit for a decent amount of use and are quite easy to interchange. The sanding discs that are included are a higher grit at 220 and work well with the included mandrel (which you can also use for other things like cutting wheels, etc.) but seem to be more reserved for higher detail work and are quite small. The kit also includes 3 different shaped high speed cutters with seem to remove wood pretty well. There are really nice for grooving and slotting but seemed to struggle a bit for me to be used for shaping.Lastly, and this threw me a bit, Dremel includes a random drill bit that works best with their work station. I’m not sure why they included this as there is no label as to what size it is and it just seems a little out of place. In my opinion, a few smaller stones for detail carving would be more appropriate.Overall, I think this is a good place to start if you’re new to Dremel and wood carving. You will find that you use most of these bits fairly regularly and you can never have too many mandrels or sanding drums!
