I got the 7700 cordless kit around 2 months ago and it has been a great addition to the shop. Even though it is cordless it has great power and was able with the attachment to sharpen the riding lawnmower blades with out having to remove them or a recharge of the battery. Definitely a huge saving of time and effort.

If you only plan on buying one Dremel tool, the Dremel 7700 7.2V two-speed rotary tool is the one to buy. This is by far the most versatile and easy-to-use Dremel tool I have ever operated. It’s cordless and lightweight, which makes it easy to grab and take anywhere you need to go. But its battery is long lasting and powerful enough to get most small- to medium-sized jobs done without recharging.I have worked with Dremel tools for variety of projects, and I’m fairly well versed in many of their uses. But I decided to test drive the 7700 model for something I had never used a Dremel before – sharpening garden tools. I expected this job to take maybe half an hour at max, but I had two sets of bypass pruners, two sets of hand bypass cutters, and two sets of lopping shears sharpened in less than 10 minutes. Yes, there was a bit of a learning curve (I occasionally went off the edge – as you can tell by the before-and-after pictures), but within seconds these tools had a sharper edge on them than they had when they were purchased! The battery power held up very well for this job, too. There was no noticeable loss of power from the first tool until the last. Two things to note. If you do use this as a sharpening tool, you MUST wear eye protection – the sparks can be impressive. Also, I’m not a big fan of the garden tool sharpener. It was designed to hold the Dremel at the proper angle for an optimum edge. But it didn’t work well with the curved blades of the bypass pruners, so I just “eyeballed” the edge with a grinding wheel, which worked just fine.Unless you’re doing a lot of in-place, heavy duty grinding, sanding, or drilling (think carving rocks for jewelry), forget about buying a corded Dremel and go for the cordless 7700. You’ll be glad for its versatility (it comes with a nice set of accessories for lots of different jobs), durability and, most of all, ease of use.

The best $43 I have spent in my life. I had a very important project that was a nightmare and this little gadget saved the day! Works great, long battery life. I can think of so many projects I can use this for now. I wish I had one around before!

Great tool to have when you’re working on a cabin deep in the woods that doesn’t have power. Used the cutting wheel to remove stripped screws, what a life saver.

This drill is very versatile! it is lightweight, easy to assemble and the battery life lasts long. I was able to use it for more then an hour of heavy jewelry polishing and it did not deceived me. It is perfect for jewelry making!

The 7700 cordless rotary dremel was very easy to use right out of the box. If you have used a dremel before this tool lives up to expectations. The ability to control the tool was very easy. It came with a variety of bits that will work well with the tool. The only thing that I was less impressed with was the inability to change speeds other than a high/low setting. This was not a big deal for me since I have other dremels that can give me more speed, but if I need to do something simple and quick this will definitely be my new go-to product. It charges quickly and stores very well. A great addition to have around the home.

I found this kit very handy for small jobs around the house. It has a comfortable weight and balance that makes it comfortable for longer use. The included accessories are a good selection for the average user. The two speeds are more than enough for the typical jobs you’ll use this for around the house. In all, it’s a useful and convenient kit.

The Dremel 7700 is well worth the extra cost as an upgrade to the Dremel 7300. The 7300 was my first Dremel and it has worked great for all the small tasks that I have used it for. Unfortunately, during some grinding and sanding tasks, it would leave me wanting more. With the 7700 the heads spin noticeably faster which allows the tool to cut, grind, sand, etc a lot faster with less pressure. But even with that extra speed, I noticed I was still able to press and dig deeper in one stroke before the tool began to bog down. The 7700 is the same size besides that larger batter which actually makes it a lot more comfortable to hold and use on projects then the 7300. The only downside I can really find with it is the Hi-Off-Lo switch that is a bit finicky when moving back and forth. It doesn’t affect the function or capabilities of the Dremel but it is something that can be improved on I believe.

I have found that cords can be a little distracting when your out working in the yard or even a distance from a working electrical socket. I found the solution, the Dremel 7700-1/15 7.2 volt Multi Pro Cordless, yes I said cordless. This new Dremel tool with the rechargeable battery solves that issue nicely.I had some work to do on my shed outside, the walls were buckling from the ground shifting and didn’t want a long clunky extension cord attached to me power tool getting in my way. I grabbed my new Dremel and I didn’t think it could get easier. I used it to drill the started holes for new screws, I also used the sander attachment to remove the rust from the door hinges and other metal work. It was fast and simple. The battery charges in less than 3 hours and lasts at least twice that. When I first got my new Dremel it has something unbelievable in the box, unbelievable for a cordless tool that is. It came with an attachment to sharpen lawn mower blades and I just had to try it. It worked pretty good for a cordless, took a little longer but the edge was back to specs, totally surprised me.This is a great little yet powerful tool for your DIY arsenal.

Awesome tool, just the right size to pull out for small projects or quick jobs. Comfortable to hold in your hand, not too bulky or heavy. I’ve found that some other tools are lopsided or too heavy on the battery end, this tool has a nice balance to it.

I have owned a corded Dremel for 30 years. I have experienced the freedom of no cords with the Dremel 7700 and it has surpassed my expectations. Doing projects with the 7700 just seems easier.I have done some metal grinding and it has plenty of power in the high speed. Power sanding some paint off wood in a tight spot was easily accomplished. I loved using my corded Dremel before but now there is no project that I am not pulling out the 7700 and getting the job done easier and quicker.

It is very light weight and compact, lets you use it where others wouldn’t fit or just get a perfect angle. An excellent machine with a ton of power and a battery that wont die! Lasts for over one hour for me.

All the extra heads that come with this dremel make it easy to maintain the claws on my 4 dogs. One charge does all 4 dogs. They do not mind the noise level – I also have the 7300 model which is quieter. They actually prefer this to clipping and filing – no more battles.
