It’s good for short duration jobs. I was trying to file a metal door plate and also file/sand the toothpicks from redoing the screw holes for the lock and this did a great job. Only thing is that run time is not super long.

Ive tried a few other rotary tool brands and none are as smooth and quiet as this one. I carve gem stones and this thing is strong and the precision at this price is unmatched, and though it has 4 speed settings you can use inbetween these settings to really calibrate the right speed. So it goes much slower than 8000, probably 1000. It is well worth the money and with it being usb charged i never have to worry about a dead battery.
