I am receiving a free accessory pack from Dremel in exchange for my honest review. Very happy with it especially the variable speed. We wanted to get to know how to use it on the lowest speed, so we didn’t grind too much too fast, since cat nails are not as hard as dogs. We have used it twice for our cat who seems to get hook claws in no time and this tool helps to keep them dull, so we can play with him without getting scratched so easily. The price was great too!

I first tried this tool on my dog whose nails needed to be trimmed for the first time. (She’s a golden-doodle, medium-sized dog, and had not yet had her first nail trimming.) She was not nervous of the tool at all, and let me use it for just a few seconds on each nail – the vibration of the sanding disk on her long nails seemed to be too much for her for long periods. This was not enough time to get the nails to the right length. I had her nails trimmed, and have used this tool to maintain a short nail length since then. She allows me the time I need to give her good maintenance and the vibrations on the shorter nails do not seem to bother her as much.

I decided to try the Dremel Paw Control. I’m so glad I did. It is much easier and safer than trying to use clippers. My dog doesn’t mind too much and it’s not too loud. My only complaint is when using higher speeds, it heats up quickly, so I just do 1 or 2 paws at a time. I am receiving a free accessory pack from Dremel in exchange for my honest review.

We have three fairly large dogs (50-110 lbs). I was a bit concerned about how well they would tolerate the noise generated by this and the feel of it in use. To my pleasant surprise, all’s gone well and couldn’t be happier with the quality of the item and its results. It is very quiet and smooth to use. The only bad thing I can say about it is the smell associated with grinding the nails and the resulting dust that sometimes escapes during the process. (My attempt to find something bad to say.) The tool itself is of typical Dremel solid, high quality and we couldn’t be more pleased. I am receiving a free accessory pack from Dremel in exchange for my honest review.

I like the shape of this tool and how it protects my dog’s paw as I grind the nails down. He is not fond of the noise, but it is much easier to use than a sanding drum on a regular Dremel. I like the fact that is it battery based as well, limits the number of things to keep track of, and give me more freedom to quickly move from paw to paw.

Pugs are notoriously difficult when it comes to getting their nails trimmed. I normally take mine to a groomer but with all grooming places closed right now, I ordered this to try. I charged it up, let the pugs sniff it and listen to it, got the treats out and a towel and started to go! So easy to use and very quiet! Sent the link to my family members to buy as this is a much better alternative to nail clippers.

This Dremel works great on my dogs’ nails. I’ve used clippers in the past, and occasionally made the mistake of cutting a quick, which isn’t something you want to do to your best friends. The Dremel makes it a thousand percent easier to avoid doing that, and gets the job done nicely.

We have 2 elderly dogs. The dogs have always run for cover when they see the nail clippers – we hate doing it as much as they hate the experience. The Dremel 7760-PGK is quiet and took the excess nails down quickly and without drama.Three seconds at a time to prevent overheating is the main precaution. No loud cracks, no more pain … it was SO much better for all involved!

I always used to clip my dogs nails, but lately, I was having trouble cutting them too close and causing them to bleed. I think it upset me more than my dog! This is the perfect solution. It is quiet, simple to use, and does not cause the stress that clipping nails used to – for both of us! Its also basically no clean up, and there are no worries about her nails splitting or catching on things.I wrote this review in return for a package of replacement sanding discs, but I would have written it anyway!

I have tried several different nail grinders and this is the best one I have found. I love the guard attachment. It gives me confidence and I know the dogs respond better when I am not nervous about doing their nails.

Only use it a couple times.Would rate it high if I had had it longer. What other people have said about it rubbing the plastic when you have it at the lowest setting is true. But I don’t need it set that low. So far it’s worked great.

Taking my dog to have her nails cut got harder & harder. I decided I could do her nails myself. I asked for this as a Christmas gift & very happy with the results! I followed instructions about offering a treat each time we do nails & now we’re both happy (and she’s not “tap dancing” across the floor anymore.) I’m a beginner when it comes to nail grinding. We’re getting a second dog and I wanted to start doing their grooming at home because it would be too expensive to take them BOTH to the groomer over time.As a beginner… this is SO easy to use! The guard makes it so easy to rest on the dog’s toe pad and grind down each nail. It is also much quieter than I thought it would be. My *very* skidding dog was okay with it!I’m excited to be able to better care for our pups at home now. When the new puppy comes home, he will be used to this from the very beginning.

I have use this on our dog and cat and very happy with it. It’s quiet enough on the lower settings to not freak out the animals. The clear guide head attaches securely enough that I feel comfortable resting it on the paw and getting a nice trim on the nails. The guide is very durable as I dropped it once while trimming the dogs nail. The guide and disk had no issues at all. The overall construction is very solid and feels like it will hold up nice.

I really love the Pawcontrol 7760-pgk. It works really well on my 2 German Shepherds. I have been trimming there nails with clippers, but even with good quality clippers they still will splinter at times. The dremel is less stressful on the dog and the nails. The only problem I’ve had is when adjusting the nail grooming attachment to the 1 position, the sanding disk will rub the attachment or lock up. So if I want to get closer, I side the disk holder out some and adjust the attachment to the 2 position. “I’m am receiving a free accessory pack from Dremel in exchange for my honest review”

The Dremel 7760-PGK has attachments for pet owner that is new to nail grooming as well as the more experienced owner. Being new to this I stuck with the basic (beginner) sanding disk. The 7760-PGK comes with a plastic cover over the sanding wheel that has a built in 45 degree angled top for precise grooming, the plastic cover doubles as a nail dust collector and safety shield for the sanding wheel. After a couple of false starts I was able to trim our dogs nails without any real issues and I am sure with a little practice I will be ready to try the more advanced grooming attachments. This little tool is well built as you would expect from Dremel with function buttons and the same tool attachment you are already familiar with. When not being used as a pet grooming tool, it can be used as a standard Dremel for cutting, drilling and engraving. So if you have multiple dogs you can save yourself some money, animal stress (trip to the groomer) and heartache in the long run with a one time investment by purchasing the Dremel 7760-PGK. I definately recommend it.
