I have use Dremel tools for years, but never on my pets. We have to mid size dogs, one of which is terrified by louder noises and will run from a handheld vacuum cleaner. My other one will attack it. Plus, they both have pretty big paws for their breeds so I was nervous about whether the extra pet safety features would have the strength and the battery life to get the job done. Now that I’ve tried it, I can say that I AM IMPRESSED! It’s gentle enough for my timid pup, quiet enough for my rowdy pup, and has plenty power for both. Thanks Dremel! You haven’t let me down yet!

I had an old Dremel that I needed to replace. As I was researching I noticed this model could be used to trim a dogs nails. The tool has a solid feel to it. It seems to be well built, very ergonomic, and way quieter that the Dremel it replaces. My Labrador was not afraid of the tools low pitched hum. It trimmed her nails easily without a fuss from her. I was skeptical at first but have to admit this is the BEST way to “trim” toenails. We have 3 dogs 2 of which have black toenails. This kit has turned a stressful weekend chore into a quick, painless, and injury free event. I like that it has a variable speed. We started out on the low speed to get out dog (75 lb lab) used to it. She was a little nervous but was on my lap while my husband took the sharp point of her front paws. As she gets used to it we will continue on the back paws and use a higher speed. My husband also had it on low and allowed her to check it out even before we actually did it. I like that we can do it at home and happy with the purchase and ease to use the dremel. This will save me from having to try and take her to a place to have this done which our dog was not happy about doing either. I also like that it has the nail guard as part of this product.

I’ve used a grinder for my dogs nails for years and they’ve always been weak. This one is not. Plenty of power to grind down my lab/pit mix nails.The only thing I don’t like is that the directions don’t match the actual device. It had different depth settings which caused some confusion on how to set it up.

I’ve used many products, but this by FAR is the best. Not only is the 7760 a quality product, but it’s also safe and makes trimming my dogs’ nails a fast process. My dogs are happy and we are happy. I have a new puppy. He just turned one. His toe nails grow very fast. We used the trimmer on him and it went well. He was not scared at all. I was more hesitant than he was and used it briefly on each nail. The only hard part was finding the right level of the blade to get a good trim, but not to go too far. We will use this tool regularly and I think it will be better than our clippers.

Product works great and is nice and light and easy to use. I did not get to test this out on my dogs because I couldn’t get them to sit still. They are both over a hundred pounds and a little tricky to hold onto and work a trimmer at the same time:) Seems like it would work great though;)

My cavalier tolerates me filing his nails with the Dremel Pawcontrol. Every other way was so much drama and he would hide from me. The Pawcontrol is quick and easy and I don’t worry about cutting his nails too short. I started slowly by turning it on and placing it near him when I would hold him and rub his paws. I would pick it up and hold it. One day I just filed a dewclaw and he didn’t freak out, so I tried another. One of our larger dogs absolutely hates his nails getting trimmed. We had an aging battery powered trimmer that we replaced with this. It’s much better. This unit at the lower settings is pretty quiet, enough to not freak out the puppers. The guide is adjustable but doesn’t work for small dogs like my Chihuahua so keep that in mind. Perfect for medium and up.
