I bought my first 8050 in November 2019. It has been phenomenal for my needs and an excellent tool for me. I’ve found that if I don’t get the dremel back onto a charger once the battery indicator switches to orange, it will have trouble accepting a charge. If it goes to red, it can take days or weeks before it will accept a charge again. Since I’ve figured that out, I stop using it and charge it immediately if it switches to orange and have not had any trouble since then. Until now. It recently got used too long and got back down into red. For the past 3 days, I’ve tried putting it on a charger and even purchased a new one with a new charger and still can’t get it to light up or do anything on the charging base. After leaving it sit on the charger all night, I found it this morning with the top blue light lit and the lower 4 lights blinking. It still will not charge or turn on. I love this tool, love the power and how lightweight it is, I appreciate how versatile it is, but I’m terribly disappointed and frustrated with how sensitive it is with charging. Would I still recommend it? Yes, because it serves its purpose and it’s lightweight and powerful. Dremel’s customer service is excellent and they’ll help you get things fixed if it comes to that, but there definitely seems to be kinks that need to be worked out.

I bought this recently for a specific work and it did the trick. I used the accessory that came with it, but I could of used a bit more options in the accessory tool box.

I build miniature buildings, dollhouses and dioramas. The Micro is small enough to allow me to get inside the small buildings and strong enough to do the job! I have many Dremel products, but the Micro is my “go to” tool!

I have small hands & this is perfect for me. Batteries do not last but about 20-30 minutes use. It is not super loud unless you use on middle or higher speed. I have had several of them as they have a habit of not lasting very long but for the price very worth it.

This was my second Dremel & I wanted the cordless because of its versatility in tight spots where a corded tool was to cumbersome.

I have had this tool for several years and really like it’s weight, speed, power, and how long it keeps a charge .

My very first use of the Micro 8V tool was to detail cast chrome script and trim on a sports car in preparation for a concours. Easily maneuverable, no cord to manage, and just the right amount of power.I’ve used it so much that I now have a selection of bits organized in a small tackle box it’s needed to take anywhere and provide smooth, shiny surfaces to set off parts just right. I also use it under the hood to shine hose clamps, linkages and other bits to set them off just right.

I got this for dog nails. Good for that with sanding tip but I bought an accessory pkg with 1/8” shanks and a universal quick change chuck to fit them and they don’t. I want to make it quick and easy to get pups’ toes manicured but so far, not as easy as I hoped. Good tool, but expensive to upgrade accessories to what I need/want.

I purchased the Micro 8V max tool kit to replace an older and obsolete Dremel tool that I had used for at least 15 years. I was looking for a small unit that could be held comfortably it the hand and still give full control of it’s action at any speed. This did the job beyond my expectations. I found that the LED lighting was also a plus as it does a great job of lighting the work surface. A feature that was absent on my old unit and a welcome addition to my new Micro 8v. The stand is also well thought out and fits nicely on my work bench.
