The Dremel Micro 8 volt fully met our expectations. We especially like the lights and how well it fits in your hand. We haven’t used it for any extended period of time yet so cannot comment on how it recharges.

The first project I did with this tool was drill holes in about 24 seashells, so my wife could make a mobile out of them. It required the use of a diamond tool with a cone shape (#7144). I had to run the tool at 28K RPM. After burning the first tool up in 4 shells I found that about every 3 seconds I had to dip the point in water, to cool it and clean the shell cuttings out of the diamond media. My comment about lack of power is because as the point of the tool broke through the shell, it would always “jam” and stop the motor. When I pulled it back and started again, without so much pressure, it most times went right through, not a big deal.Being cordless is a huge advantage and in the last week I have used it multiple times outside and working on my boat.

We have 5 of these in our groom shop! They have stood up to years of daily use on dog’s nails, they been dropped and kicked around. They are a solid little tool and love how slender they are. Fits in your hand nicely while trying to hang on to an unwilling subject. We’ve had big corded ones and smaller cordless ones. We call these the goldilocks grinder! Wish they were easier to get though…

After reading reviews, I am also having issues. Drill stopped charging. When put on the charger the light goes right out instead of blinking and the dremel has no power at all.

Works very well and was easy to figure out

Great tool, used for professional trimming dog nails, light function aids in accurate trimming. Charger is only downside after using for over 1 year charger is difficult/slow to charge on docking station. You have to position at an angle so it charges. This has happened to 3 dremmels so far. It is comfortable and easy use means I do purchase again and again as overall great product, just need charger to be more heavy duty to keep up with Dremmel tool under heavy use.

I’ve had the Micro for about 3 years, use it frequently and it’s still goong strong. I use it for sanding, carving, cutting & buffing. It’s great!

I really liked at first, but becomes hot pretty quick. Now won’t change at all

Would have given a 5 if it came with a case to keep everything in.

I bought this for its size, and for being cordless… It sits easily on my R/C workbench, since that its always readily available… For simple quick cuts, smoothing of edges and so great for trimming a new lexan body…

I make sterling silver and copper jewelry and use this tool every day. It is reliable and has many functions. The price was reasonable.

I have two Model 8050 cordless Dremel tools. It charges quickly, retains a charge for a long time. My first 8050 was used sparingly, simply because I did not use it all that often as I was/am building my railroad. It held a charge for just over a year with periodic use. And, I when I needed a Dremel tool for my work room, I purchased a second unit. Both are valued tools in my tool box; each serves my heeds well.I HIGHLY recommend the 8050 Kit as an essential tool for any hobbiest.

I own two of these suckers one I keep a 3/32 collet in the other a 1/8 . They are used in conjunction with my three Foredom jeweler hanging handpieces. As I’m a jeweler I find times when a unincumbered motor makes things a little easier. I would definetly reccomend this model to anyone for almost any purpose.

My husband bought me this for Christmas for all my crafting and home projects and it is the best gift ever! I had a cheap rotary tool that was corded and this tool blows it out of the water! I have become a Dremel Fan for life!

I’m a little person and this Dremel fits my hands perfectly. The added feature is a light that shines on my projects. It also has a gauge on it to tell me when my battery is getting weak.

Bought this two years ago and has performed well. Only issue is when I place it in the charging base it does not make good contact and I have to move it around to get it to start charging

Received this as a gift and absolutely love it. I’m a big Dremel fan anyway and use a rotary tool a lot.
