Works as expected. If you are looking at portability than you can not go wrong with this Dremel. If you want consistent speed and power, buy a plug in. The battery didn’t last as long as I would have liked but I had to use more torque on mine instead of speed and thats where the difference between voltage power comes in. I am happy with my choice even with the issues I face as that is what is expected out of a battery powered tool.

I got this for Christmas. I have been using a Dremel for years but, the cordless option is great for quick use around the house. I love the built in wrench and need to find out for my old corded one. I also plan to get another battery.

Better price to get this 2 battery kit. I feel it works even better than my corded models. No cord gives your Dremel more options and greater versatility. Batteries last a long time and thus far I have never needed the 2nd battery during long periods of us, but like having a spare just in case.

I purchased the Dremel 8220-2/28 Max Cordless Rotary Tool Kit with a few particular jobs that I was working on at the time. Since that time, I have found that the power and versatility of the tool allows me to use it for projects that I hadn’t even considered at the time. The quickness with which you can change bits and mandrels is also an unexpected plus when working with this tool. I had originally purchased the Dremel 8100 cordless tool, and while it was great for the time, I have found that the additional 4v of power that this particular tool provides is unquestionably worth its weight in gold. Overall, I am beyond satisfied with this product and I would definitely recommend purchasing it. In fact, I have recommended to two friends already, and they are both equally satisfied with the purchase.

The Dremel 8220 12 Volt is a very powerful and much quieter than my 7.2 Volt Dremel. I use it on my dog’s nails. It is bulky and not ergonomically friendly if you have small hands. I had to buy an attachment for detailed work; ie, nails.
