In my experience, this is a great bit for cutting metal. I used it to cut out a trailing arm bushing from my vehicle and it preformed great. I was certain it would be destroyed, but hardly looks worn.
Samara Vandervort (verified owner) –
it is very sharp and did the job very well.

I have used this bit for making holes in my ceramic pots. Have also used it for carving designs on these pots. Great bit to have.

This is my go-to cutter. I have probably purchased 4 of them over the years but keep on losing them because the Dremel plastic cases have poor clear plastic lids and the cutters fall out. I can cut metal, wood and plastic without the cutter dulling.

Does the work right. Very tough, good grinding properties.

I used it in a cordless drill to shave a small, hard to reach, section of wood. Chewed through quickly.

I bought this a week ago. I needed to take a rusted nut off of a sway bar link end … ya, that’s right. You know what I’m talking about. I used the bit to flatten the shaft of the old ball joint SO THAT I could snap a pair of vice grips on it SO THAT it wouldn’t twist while heaving on the rusted-on nut. It worked! Most importantly, the bit chewed off the steel to create the flattened surfaces I was looking to create. Limited space. Chewed it away like a cheese grater. This bit eats through steel. I’m going to try it for cutting away rusted steel for body work next. I’m imagining it will work even slicker for that application.

I bought this last week and used it to cut thru hardened steel sheeting with very limited space. It worked well, but cut thru in VERY tiny pcs. (be sure to wear gloves and glasses, grit goes everywhere!). This works well, but slowly, take your time, it works!.

Finally got to use the cutter on a small project, it worked as well as I had expected it to .

The tip doesn’t cut so plunging was difficult. The edges worked fine.

Must have for grinding a metal product. I use it on doors when the latch is sticking.

Chewed through the steel garage door rail quickly. Seemed exactly as sharp afterward. I believe this is genuine tungsten carbide. I had read some reviews on other sites from people who seemed to be getting generic, inferior products. This came sealed in Dremel packaging, but the real test was in the using it and it passed with flying colors. Glad I bought from Home Depot.
