This is a great add-on Dremel accessory if you’re into DIY and good at following directions. Make sure to check the model of your Dremel to see if this accessory works with it! I bought it mainly to sharpen chain saw chains. It’s tedious to pick out the correct grinding wheel and get it and the guide aligned correctly. It did a nice job on my chains …as good as I get from my equipment dealer. I haven’t tried the mower and shear attachments yet but they look more straightforward to assemble and use.

Dremel is a “mini-grinder” and mini-grinders pretty much all use the same method to attach (except newest Dremels)I’ve only used it to sharpen a chainsaw (not the other parts for Lawnmower blades and grass sheers) and it’s easy to attach, understand, and use. A terribly dull blade only took about 2 minutes to sharpen. I don’t know how long the “Chain Saw Sharpening Stone” will last, but it seems like it’ll last a long time, and it’s relatively cheap, about $4 on it’s own.

Purchased this kit for sharpening my chainsaw. Easy to use and did the job quickly vs. doing it manually with a hand file. I set my Dremel speed to 5 (medium speed), apply a little pressure to the teeth at a 30 degree angle and it takes just a couple of seconds to sharpen each teeth. Cuts like new.

With what it takes to read the small-print instructions for chain saw sharpening, may as well go to a shop to get it done. Big disappointment that this kit only sharpens lawn mower blades, garden shears and chainsaws. Why not a full knife/blade/axe sharpening set?

I got a craftsman lawn mower. For 2 years and half, I did not sharpen it. The blade was dull and can not cut the grass very well. The grass easily clogged the trash bag, which made me stop many times in the process. I almost got rid of this $300 lawn mower before I bought this kit.I only use this kit to sharpen the blade for a couple of passes without taking out the blade. The lawn mower came back to life and it worked just like new without any clog. Thanks to Dremel and Homedepot.By the way, this is the first time for me to use rotary tools and dremel products.
