Dremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review.At first, I had difficulty pulling down the spring-loaded section of the mandrel to put on the cutting blade. The hard part was turning the cutting blade to lock in place while holding the spring-loaded part. It got easier over time.This is much easier to switch our accessories over time rather than fumbling with the tiny screw or switching out heads. Time to start switching out my cutting blades.

When I bought my first Dremel – I used to have to change out the cutting wheels using a small screw. I dropped that thing more than once and truthfully, I dreaded using the cut off wheels . Then I tried this mandrel – no messing around! I was able to change out the cutting discs with ease. This item belongs in your tool kit along with all your Dremel accessories. Just to put it out there, Dremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review.I’ve never used one of these EZ Lock Mandrels before so I actually had to read the instructions to figure out how to attach the cut-off wheel. Once I understood that you pull down the outer sleeve, I was able to easily slip the cut-off wheel over the end and twist 90 degrees to lock it in place. Once it was locked, it was obvious that it was firmly held and wasn’t going to pop off the mandrel. The cut-off wheel was held firmly throughout it’s use and there was never a hint that it was loose or going to come off. I’ll be looking for other bits that can attach to this EZ Lock Mandrel as it’s so quick and easy to change out tools.

This mandrel is a must-have item. It replaces the cumbersome mandrel with the screw. Trying to find a screwdriver and then trying to put the screw in the hole is a nuisance (especially if you drop the screw in the gravel). The EZ Lock mandrel gets rid of all the hassle. It is so easy, just pull the collar down, slip in the disk or buff, let go of the collar and off you go. I have a few of these for each of my Dremel storage boxes, depending on the application of the projects. Another great feature is the formed post to prevent the disk/buff from slipping. Dremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review.
