I have used the Dremel cutting disks for a long time- but I was excited there was a product that would cut tougher materials. This wheel did the job! I cut through several pieces of hardwood, also some ½ inch dowels plus some metal pipes for a project. Went through everything like a champ! And it still has some life left in it. The fact it uses the EZ connector makes it easy to switch out with other wheel options without having to unscrew the collet. I would definitely get this to keep in your regular kit if you do a lot of repair work and/or DIY projects- it can handle anything you throw at it! I love this Diamond Wheel disk. Requires you use the EZ lock Mandrel which makes taking on and off or switching disks a breeze. I used it to cut some wood dowels and I also used it to cut some metal tubing I was using for a modification on my VW Bug. Cut like butter. Will definatly be using it more and purchasing more to use on all my cutoff wheel projects. Dremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review.

Dremel sent me to try out and write a review on it. I’ve used it for copper pipes and pvc and work great on both of them. Seems like it will last a long time also. Definitely better then the cheap cutoff wheels.

Compared to the regular cutting wheels, this one was faster and smoother. After cutting several screw heads and some other random metal pieces, the wheel still looks new. The wheel worked great! I used it to cut into stucco for the doggy-door we were installing. Unfortunately, while I was cutting the EZ Lock mount lost one of it’s placeholder pins while I was drilling, so I couldn’t use the wheel for the remainder of the project. Loved the wheel, not sold on the EZ Lock technology.

I do a lot of motorcycle restoration and customization work. I used this cutting wheel to cut DOM steel tubing on a motorcycle frame, cut out old spokes on a wheel, cut out inlays for a gas tank. I cut thick PVC pipe, copper pipe. I cut nails, and screws. I used it to cut a rusted and stripped nut and it did it all without a hitch. Also, the easy on/off EZ Lock feature with the EZ Lock Mandril (part# EZ402) it is fast and convenient to swap other Dremel accessories. I strongly recommend this cutting wheel.
