Dremel universal oscillating accessories are the first truly universal oscillating accessories available that require no adapter. The unique dual interface fits all competitive oscillating tools, including those with a quick change feature. The MM14U hook and loop pad accessory accepts Dremel sand paper and diamond paper. The shape allows for access into corners and edges that are otherwise difficult to reach.

Quality of the product is good. It doesn’t seem strong enough to remove the varnish off of chairs which is the reason I purchased it.

Replaces a universal hook that came with unit. I didn’t follow I the instructions as I should have and used the tips for sanding. Pretty much ruined the unit. It does work great just to follow instructions and it will last.

I use these pads up pretty quickly with the type of woodworking I do. The corners take a beating if you’re too aggressive with the pressure. I’m not sure if a different foam backing with a different chemical make up could help solve the problem? Anyway, I like the job it does, and you have a choice of sandpaper grades…also cheaper than all of the other models of this type of sander out there.

One of the challenges I’m having with the Universal Hook and Loop Pad is that the plastic hooks quickly disintegrate after 10 uses. This is a problem common to all hook and loop backer pads that I’ve tried using so far which is why I gave Dremel’s pad a ‘good’ rating. To be excellent it’ll take backer-pad technology changes to make the teeth on the hooks last much longer.

it works great for small sanding jobs. I used it on a door frame yesterday.The only problem I had was if you apply to much pressure in one corner while sanding you will melt the little Velcro and damage the tool.
