The Dremel MM494U pipe and 2X4 blade is made for cutting pipe and thick materials such as 2X4 studs. With an extra wide cutting edge, the MM494U adds control and convenience because users can now easily cut PVC, conduit and copper pipe without the blade slipping off of the work-piece. Cuts through a 2X4 can now be done in 1 pass as well. The blade’s Bi-Metal construction optimizes the MM494U for metal cutting, so you’ll experience no more destroyed teeth if you hit a nail while cutting. The Dual Interface allows its use with the most common oscillating tools in the market without the need of an adapter.
- Dual interface to work with Dremel, Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee, Rockwell, DeWalt, Fein, Porter Cable, Ridgid oscillating tools without the need of an adapter
- Bi-metal blade material for high performance wood/metal cutting applications
- Extra-wide cutting edge adds control and convenience

It you need extra length, it has that option. Other than that, it’s more expensive than other brands with the same durability.

I purchased a number of different blades to replace the windows in my house. I have 31 windows to remove that all need to be cut out. Each window has about 15 nails in it, all of the other blades either lost teeth as soon as they hit the first nail or completely broke. This particular blade is averaging for windows before it gives out in the windows are 6 feet tall by 2 feet wide very durable blade.

I use these almost daily and they work fine for cutting comb fascia to make room for my siding, and cleaning up corners in MDF/HDF cuts. However, they burn out really quick if they are used on Douglas Or Spruce Fur, OSB, plywood, or longer cuts in MDF/HDF. Don’t even think about hitting a nail.I really wish they made these with Carbide teeth.

I needed a tool that would cut through wood. This tool had larger teeth which helped. The small teeth on the genetic tool caused the wood to burn.
