The Dremel MM494U pipe and 2X4 blade is made for cutting pipe and thick materials such as 2X4 studs. With an extra wide cutting edge, the MM494U adds control and convenience because users can now easily cut PVC, conduit and copper pipe without the blade slipping off of the work-piece. Cuts through a 2X4 can now be done in 1 pass as well. The blade’s Bi-Metal construction optimizes the MM494U for metal cutting, so you’ll experience no more destroyed teeth if you hit a nail while cutting. The Dual Interface allows its use with the most common oscillating tools in the market without the need of an adapter.
- Dual interface to work with Dremel, Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee, Rockwell, DeWalt, Fein, Porter Cable, Ridgid oscillating tools without the need of an adapter
- Bi-metal blade material for high performance wood/metal cutting applications
- Extra-wide cutting edge adds control and convenience
- Ideal for cutting pipe and 2 x 4 lumber
- Includes: MM494U pipe and 2×4 cutting blade

worked better than expected. Didn’t burn up in the first couple minutes, as has been my experience with other blades.

I actually think the regular blades work just as well. However, I do like the wider cutting swath even though it does not cut as fast.

Worked great on my Trex re-decking project

Cuts wood like butter. Great for cutting places where you can’t get a saw. I used it for cutting out a part of baseboard for a cabinet.

It didn’t do it as easily as I would have thought but it did work. Be patient when you’re using it on hardwood.

The tool cut through the quarter inch screw, the cut was clean and flush.

It cuts ok but tends to dive into the wood a little, depending on what you’re cutting I found the plunge blade is more controllable and easier to use

I was a little worried when purchasing this as it was a Dremel brand and I usually lump all that as a hobby item. I will say this is more than a hobby item. I was trimming 2×6 framing lumber with it and I also managed to cut through a couple of nails in the process and it did not appear that the blade suffered any damage. I also cut through a 4×12 ridge beam and it handles that job as well. I don’t know how long the blade will last although right now it looks like it will be around as long as a Bosch or Fein blade.

I like the width of the blade. Made my project much easier. The only negative is the price. Seems like it should cost more like half of what I paid.

Sure, it gets the job done, but it only lasted one project. I tried my best to preserve the blade, but it got dull quickly and started bending from the work load. I like how it’s multi-purpose for metals, pipes, and woods. However, I wish it lasted more than a project.

THIS PRODUCT WORKS PERFECTLY FINE IF IS GENTLY USE. WHAT I REALLY MEAN IF IS NOME ONE FORCE IT THIS PRODUCT DOES THE JOB ITSELF AND SOMETHING RALLY IMPORTANT IT IS GOING TO LAST MUCH LONGER WHICH IS SOMETHING THAT EVERYBODY WANTS SINCE IT IS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE.

Bought for cutting copper pipe which was installed close to the walls. Worked better than a hack saw. Pleased with the purchase.

Worked great with my Ridgid tool to cut trim.

This dremel did the job i needed to get done. I recommend this blade. I had trim off some wood to make a cut fit, cut out a 1x 6 board.about 2 ft longer or so. I would buy this blade again.
