This is a nice saw, but I have to start out by saying that the blades are not standard, and are somewhat hard to find. Check this out for yourself by searching Dremel Moto-Saw blades (MS50 side cutting blade, MS51 wood and plastic blade, MS52 fine wood blade, or MS53 metal blade). You can get them, but not just anywhere.If you’re OK with that, this saw works really well for small craft projects. It mounts to a bench, and can be taken off and stored on a shelf. Perfect if you don’t have a lot of room. (You can also hold it by hand… why you’d want to I have no idea.) You can cut small, finely detailed wood pieces, maybe up to 1″ or so, or thin metal.It’s a little noisy, not terrible. The vacuum adapter is a weird size that does not match a typical vacuum hose, and I had to put some foam rubber in there to make it work.Basically, this works great for small and light materials. If you have a lot of that kind of thing, this is a really nice saw.

Dremel has done it again. I just discovered this nice little tool (maybe late to the party), but it fills a gap in my tools between the benchtop full size scroll and the hand held coping saw. The best part is it can be bench mounted and then hand held if need be. I recommend it for the small-medium small scroll saw jobs, and like I said it’s a Dremel, so the quality is there.
