This is a difficult review to write. I am a beginner with my moto saw and could say user error the problem. Also the grain of the wood. I was using soft cedar. I would have a blade that would last through several cuttings until dull and then several blades would break with minimal cutting.

i absolutely needed these replacement saw blades. i work with hard and soft wood and it works great with soft wood, but for hard wood you need to be really patient on how you cut your curves and the wood cannot be too thick (3/8″ is okay, 1/2″ is limit, 5/8″ is pushing it) or the blades will break.

Sharp blades, cut 1′ by 2″ pine wood very smooth. Also cut 3/4′ plywood, couple of blades broke, turn speed down a little. While cutting, dust will accumulate on surface, have to blow it off.I like my tool and would recommend it.

I picked up a very old (pre-Craftsman) Sears scroll saw at an estate sale a couple months ago, but was having a terrible time finding any blades for it. It seems no one makes 4 inch pinned scroll saw blades anymore, except ones for the new Dremel Moto Saw. The price was right so I thought I would give them a try.Shipping was fast and convenient (to my local Home Depot), they fit perfectly, and even though I may be trying to cut too tight of curves, I haven’t broken one yet.Two thumbs up!

Dremel Motosaw: Very easy, even for this beginner. Quick to set up, simple to use. Would have been a huge help if it came with the recommended miter gauge. Would strongly recommend that Home Depot at least stock this as an add-on. I had to order one separately online from another vendor.

Great inexpensive scroll saw for hobbyists. Blade not centered so seeing drawn lines difficult. I’m ready for a faster saw but this one is good as a starter saw or for someone who does occasional projects.
