Bought this saw to help with a bathroom tile project. Was surprised the diamond blade actually cut through the tile. The only issue I incurred was maintaining a straight edge, because of the torque. Should have purchased the straight-edge guide, which was an additional attachment. But all in all; very please with this item.

This Dremel SawMax was super easy to use right out of the box. I attached the appropriate saw blade to the saw body and then proceeded to try out my new tool. My daughter (19) also was interested in trying out the new SawMax and proceeded to cut through a 1/4″ piece of plywood for a project that she is working on with ease.I also used the SawMax to work on pieces of a prototype that I am making, cut from a 1/8th sheet of plywood and easily produced the pieces neccessary with very little effort.Thank you Dremel!

My plastic snow shovel’s metal strip was buckled and rendered the shovel useless. I couldn’t detatch the metal strip from the shovel no matter what I tried. Then I had the idea to just cut it off. I hadn’t used my new Saw Max yet, but decided this was the kind of job I bought it for….so I got it out, and lobbed of the annoying metal strip in seconds and my shovel was back in action. because I was in the middle of shoveling, I didn’t take the time to read all the instructions, but it was pretty straight forward and I had it assembled and ready to cut in a minute. Definitely a handy tool to have for odd jobs.

This is a very handy saw to have in tight places. It lacks some advantages of the older Rotozip saw, but still very good in most applications. If performing metal cutting, make sure you have adequate metal blades, they do not last very long. Overall, a very well built, quality tool.

Size of cut is just right for those jobs that are a little too small or a little too tight for a regular circular saw. I would suggest that the portable right angle/miter box is a must accessory to use with this tool as well as the square cut box. The only problem with this tool is the dust attachment. The dust attachment is a little too rigid making the connection to the vacuum cleaner hose a little difficult. The dust attachment, however, is a real mess saver!!!
