I worked 28 years in the sawmill business. I repaired and sharpened band saws.now that I retired I take band saw steel and make knives from them. I bought this dreamel to cut them out before I hand worked them.it has done an excellent job and It does exactly what I needed it to do.

Nicely packaged for delivery. The product appears to be new. However, I would like to see the tool come with a case…since, it’s called a kit

I’ve had mine for about a year. It’s nice to have handy for certain tasks. The flush blade is great for removing wood flooring in tight spaces. The motor is solid. The only reason I won’t give it 4 stars is that the blades are proprietary and rather cheap. If you cut one or two thin things here or there, it’s fine. But even if you let the blade do it’s work and don’t push on the tool, the blades just don’t hold up. It comes with a little guide for cutting a 2′ x 4′. Neat idea, but cutting a 2′ x 4′ will seriously wreck the lifespan of your blade. Now this wouldn’t be a huge issue if the darn blades weren’t so expensive. You want to sell packs of cheap blades, fine. Just don’t charge people through the nose for them. I will only use mine if I absolutely have to. Get someone else to make the blades for this tool. You guys either are bad at making these blades or make them poor quality on purpose to soak people who buy your tool.

I purchased this a few days ago, used it this weekend. It worked very well and was very easy to use. I had been researching it for a couple of weeks and I really am very happy I purchased it. I do wish it was cordless though, cords are always in the way. You have to use in an area where you can plug it in which is not always very convenient. I would really love to see videos on using the various accessories, like the miter guide. I need to make straight cuts in a piece of moulding that is about 3 feet long.

I needed a portable saw that would do the job that larger , more cumbersome saws did in the house . this saw does it all , I redid a bathroom and Im starting on another , using only this saw , to cut paneling and tiles . Easy to handle and not too heavy , exellent tool .

This product performed great with enough power to cut wood, used it to trim the bottom of my fence to allow water to pass through during heavy rain, worked great

The saw looks great. I haven’t had the chance to use it. For the price and no more than what I will use it it is a great buy.

it is a niche tool. By that I mean there are times when it is the only thing that will do the job. When you need to get into tight spaces, , it will come in handy.

it would have been nice to cut straight through a 2×4

I’ve been attempting to use this tool for about 6 months now. I have most of the Dremel tool collection and was thrilled when this one arrived on the market. I wanted it specifically for flush cutting wood. I’m finding that the wood blade, that looks more like a tile blade, makes cuts that are much wider than a regular finish blade and not close to being as clean as a finish blade. The blades wear quickly, and even after purchasing replacements, they tend to burn the wood black. Also, when this burning occurs it creates enough smoke to obscure your view so it makes it hard to stay on a line. I also attempted to use the included guide to make some mitered trim cuts, but the tool did not really work well with the guide; despite clamping.

Just purchased the saw-max and what a little buzz saw. Convenient for around the home projects. I hate to admit it, but this thing is fun to use. 1 complaint, the blade could be of better quality and dropping the price of blades would be nice, but I got a great little tool. ;>)

I BOUGHT THIS ITEM BECAUSE IT HAS THE FEATURES THAT I NEED FOR MY NEXT PROJECT.

The saw was everything I expected. The only problem was that the blade they sent with it was bent and not usable. With the cost of having to buy new blades I could have bought it brand new

I bought this saw in hopes of finding that one useful but compact tool to do a variety of cutting jobs around the house. And I have finally found that one perfect tool in this powerful little workhorse :)I admit the jobs I have are not cutting through plywood thicker than 3/4 inch but for those times I’ve needed to make straight cuts without setting up a guide this tool is so easy to use I can do a pretty accurate straight cut with just the pencil marks alone. I am very pleased with what I have accomplished so far. I’ve cut plywood, 1 x 3’s, 1 x 4’s, 1 x 10’s, acrylic and polycarb sheets and all have been cut with ease. I have built a 5 x 3 x 3 wooden reptile enclosure all with this wonderful little saw and plan on doing more projects now that I have a great tool to work with!I will never regret purchasing the saw-max!

I had work to do on the soffit area of my house and I needed precise cuts. The SM20 is far easier to use than a heavy circular saw and did the job nicely.

This was a refurb. It works great! I am finding many other things to use this saw on!
