I recently bought this saw to install laminate flooring. Everything is fine EXCEPT the life of the wood cutting blade. I’m on my second blade and still have four more rooms to go. By the time I finish the flooring throughout the house I’ll be through another 10 blades. MAKE A BETTER WOOD CUTTING BLADE PLEASE!

The only difference I see with the recon’ unit is that it arrives with no case. Other than that, it is a new one. So if a case for it is not that important to you……don’t add the extra cost for one.Unit has a nice long cord (which a big plus for me as I do not like using extension cables)Used it the first time on a half inch thick plywood using the supplied cutting wheel. Worked perfect with good long straight lines. Next was some 3/8 hardwood. Again no problems with the cut. I wanted to cut some small pieces of aluminum but the supplied wheel was not really up to it. Went and bought some cheap diamond wheels and again the unit worked perfect. Easy to use one handed and the 6W gives you more than enough power for the small jobs.

I obtained my SM20-10 as a gift. I have use it quite a bit in our recent kitchen renovation and it has proven to be a go to tool for many small cutting jobs from laminate flooring to base boards and even countertops. My only negative comment about the tool is that it takes a lot of time to get the hang of using it if you are left handed, it’s not particularly user friendly for “lefties”

Bought for cutting Hardi cement using the Diamond tile blade. Cuts cleaner and with less dust than my worm drive saw. I like the handle and attachment options. Looking forward to using on other projects.

The Dremel SawMax 20 is a great saw for many jobs around the house. It will cut wood, pvc pipe and metal with the stock blades that come w/saw. I bought masonary blades, flush cut blades, and diamond coated blades. I can cut anything I want! The SSawMax20 is easy to hold &lite weight (4.4lbs). It’s only drawback for some would be its3/4in.cutting depth. It will cut a 2×4 with 2 cuts, and with the miter guage(SM840) it cuts angles. The TRSM800 edge guide make 7 in.rip cuts in plywood or paneling. I love mine!

Purchased to use renovating our bathroom. It was so slick to use cutting out the fiberglass shower and tub. Then had to re-plumb new tub and shower. The saw cut through existing plumbing just like butter! Couldn’t have picked a better saw for the job.

I bought this a few weeks ago. It is easy to handle and cuts accurately. In the short time I’ve had it, I’ve used it for cutting wood, metal, and plastic. The depth of cut is the only hruddle, but I’ve found that it is easy enough to cut from opposite sides and easily get through thicker material. I have an assortment of corded and battery powered circular saws. But, I find myself reaching for the Saw-Max far more often than any other saw I have!
