This is also appropriate for tapping the vast majority of materials in through or blind holed conditions. Taper style: starts the thread square with the workpiece. Plug style: generally used in thru holes. Bottom style: generate the thread to the bottom of the hole. Set: Contains taper, plug and bottom taps. High speed steel taps are for making new threads or re-threading, carbon steel is for re-threading/cleaning up threads.

The PRODUCT is EXCELLENT and better than the other two brands I previously purchased elsewhere. Surprisingly Home Depot’s pricing was EXCELLENT and LOWEST of all other retailers after a week of thorough, exhaustive research. POOR MARKS for the HOME DEPOT WEB database which made this SPECIFIC PRODUCT nearly impossible to find over the course of 6 months of research and purchasing online. In fact, I could only find this product by going through 30 pages of output of a related general query. HOME DEPOT WEB SEARCH QUERIES OUTPUT OVERALL IS IRRELEVANT AND FAILS TO REPORT SPECIFIC RELATED INVENTORY THAT EXISTS IN LOCAL STORES AND/OR ONLINE. YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO MANAGE DATABASE SEARCH QUERIES BECAUSE I WASTED A LOT OF TIME NOT FINDING EXACTLY WHAT I REQUESTED (AND YOU SELL) ONLY YOU CANT MANAGE A DATABASE PROPERLY. FIX IT IF YOU WANT TO SELL TO PROFESSIONALS. MARKETING IS A WASTE IF YOU CAN’T MANAGE SUPPLY INFORMATION. DUH. PRIORITIZE THIS FAILURE.
