I purchased this mower new in the fall of 2016. We love it. It cuts great. We have a .25 acre lot and always have battery power left when we are done with the yard. We bought an extra battery and rotate them. The mower and batteries are little expensive, but for the simplicity it’s completely worth it. No gas, no oil to change, no pull starting. Put the battery in, push the button and start mowing. Batteries usually take about .5 hours to charge. Looking forward to many more years of service. I would recommend this mower to anyone who push mows.

Very good and solid machine – has a use in the pro toolkit on small, upscale properties. Not light, but less than an equivalent gas machine, and a wide enough cut to be practical.

I purchased this mower from HD over two years ago. It worked fine the first season, but toward the end of last summer the mower started shutting off after 15-20 seconds. Echo support was disappointing, and the closest repair shop was not conveniently located. So I took inside the handle and discovered the issue. There is a small piece of plastic that triggers the on/off for the mower. Since the plastic of the orange handles is so thin and pliable, it would loose contact and the mower would shut off. All I did was tape a small piece of wood to the tab that makes contact with the switch and the problem was fixed. Took about 15 minutes. They really should have used a higher quality plastic for the handles. I still like the mower and use the other 58v yards tools. This little issue was easy to fix, but it could have been avoided with some better parts.

this is the final addition to our battery operated yard tool conversion. My wife wants to start mowing the yard but the old mower was to heavy. My one wish would be to have the one lever height control like the AEG mover uses.Battery life is about 30 minutes on each 4.0 Ah battery. whisper quiet operation is a big plus.***side discharge part should be included with purchase***

Like two or three others I also had the blade-stopping issue, but it was a simple, DIY repair with a small pair of pliers. The problem is an intermittent connection to the handle safety switch. At the base of the handle on the right hand side there is a small button switch with 2 wires attached via push-on spade terminals. Simply unplug these and use your pliers to *slightly* crimp the wings of the connectors. Upon reconnection it should be somewhat harder to reinstall these, as they are no longer loose. Problem solved.

Very light easy to push, no need for self propulsion. Had to buy another 4 Ah battery to pair with the one that came with it in order to finish mowing my yard. Powerful and mulches well.

wORKING WELL AT START OF SERVICE

Works well so far. Used it four time. Once mulching and three time bagged. Used bag because grass was wet. Four amp battery lasted to cut my average size neighborhood lot with power to spare. Light weight and easy to roll on my gently sloping yard.

I have had this battery operated mower 3 years now. I LOVE it. It cuts as well as my gasoline mower or any of the other gas mowers in the neighborhood (actually better than most). It is so quiet and stores folded up. I will never go back to a gas mower.

It is so nice not to have the LOUD sound and smell of an engine. I does a very good job at mowing. It is a wonderful.

When I first unpacked the mower, I was a little shocked how light it was, and thought it was kind of “toylike” – not constructed in a heavy-duty fashion. But I find that the light construction makes mowing all the easier. It works great. We shall see how long the mower holds up.

Machine works well. Battery a little short of ideal but OK. Now buying second battery and expecting that to be just right.

This Echo lawnmower is my first venture into the world of cordless lawn equipment. I chose this over gas powered for two reasons, (1) maintenance, and (2) weight. We mow our three acres using our garden tractors and we trim it with a Stihl 2-cycle weed trimmer. I purchased the Echo to buzz around and under trees… pretty much as a supplement to the weed trimmer. Despite several internet videos claiming that the torque produced by the Echo rivals their gas-powered mowers, I found this not to be the case. While I found the torque to be better than expected, you will not punch the Echo through wet or tall grass. I tested this on 6″ tall moist grass using the mulching function (you leave the mulch insert in place), and also using the rear bagger (you remove the mulch insert to allow clippings to collect in the bag). In both cases, the mower bogged down under these conditions. It does manage dry, 3-4″ high grass very well and I got about 30-35 minutes of usage out of each 4.0 Ah battery (I bought a second battery… it ships with one).PROS: Weight Composite deck No gas, oil, fuel stabilizer, carb issues, etc. 2-bay battery storage (you change to a fresh battery by flipping over a contact key) Re-charge time of about 1 hour WarrantyCONS: Price Small bagger means several trips to the compost pile Wheel height adjustment is a bit tediousIn summary, I do recommend the Echo 58v lawnmower for homeowners with small, root-free lawns. I also recommend the rear attaching, left throw grass chute for those wanting to mow fast with no concerns for grass clippings left on the ground. I am using the grass chute exclusively now because I pre-mow with the Echo and we re-cut over the clippings with our tractors.

i have a 58 volt echo weed eater and decided to give their lawnmower a try. both pieces of equipment work great. i love how quiet they run and how powerful they are. it is nice that the lawnmower easily folds up and sits on its end to take up less space. i am sure i could hang it up if i wanted as well. it was easy to use right out of the box. simply adjust the handle and pull out the mulching plug then hang the bag on the back. then you are ready to run. the battery came half charged but i already had a fully charged one from my weedeater so i used that for the first mow.

I bought and returned a couple others that were junk- greenworks, kobalt. Stoped looking after this one. I’m starting my 5th season with it, and it is going strong. No gas, no oil changes, just pop the battery in and go. It’s a real piece of equipment made by an equipment company, the others felt like toys

This is the most amazing mower I have ever owned. Far surpassing expectations in power and overall ergonomics, it has been a dream to use. Everyone wishes for greater battery life, but I found it to do an impressive amount of work before switching around to the other 4AH battery to finish up my yard. The one caveat I’ve had is the blade. One of my children did not take care to clear the yard before mowing, and the blade is not what I’d consider heavy-duty. No problem, just get a new blade right? Well… these have been difficult to locate. A normal off-the-shelf mower blade will not fit the bushing on the blade drive-post. I have high hopes that these will return to shelves (or at least Amazon) so that I can bring things back up to speed. I LOVE this mower and have no interest in buying a new one for lack of a blade…

Average. Pretty heavy machine compared to gas powered.
