The ECHO ES-250 gas leaf blower offers 3 products in 1 tool: blower, shredder and vacuum. Make quick work of clearing leaves and other waste from your yard by using the versatile lawn blower. This tool includes a bag and a vacuum kit, which is easily converted from a yard blower to a vacuum/shredder.
- Use a 50:1 ratio of fuel to oil mix for 2-stroke cycle engines, recommend using only fresh gas with a minimum octane rating of 89 or higher (mid-grade to premium) at all times
- 50:1 ratio equal 1 US Gal. 89 octane plus 2.6 fl. oz. ECHO PowerBlend gold oil or ECHO red armor oil
- Gas leaf blower features a 25.4 cc professional-grade 2-stroke engine

Good blower and shredder but be aware that the blade setup makes it heavier and less powerful than its non-vacuuming equivalents. I would also recommend ear protection and a mask when using as a vacuum.

I have Echo Backpack Leaf Blower. I used to think Echo vacuum would not be effective or useful. I was wrong. Ever since I got the ECHO 165 Leaf Blower Vacuum, I leave the vacuum setting permanently. I use vacuum as often as I use blower but for different purpose. I use blower to blow leaves and cut grass. I use vacuum frequently to cleans to blown small leaves and tiny pulp. In addition, since vacuum is very portable and suction is quite strong, I use if to vacuum dirt in the garage nicely.

I live on an acre plus lot, thus I have a lot of mowing, edging and trimming debris to clear off. The quick start feature allows me to quickly start the blower to clear debris from a very long driveway, large front patio and back porch, and sidewalk in no time. The unit has plenty of power for that. Based on reviews/research, I was concerned the vacuum/shredder may not be powerful enough to handle smaller twigs the size of those common with trimming shrubs and bushes. The unit’s vacuum suction and shredding function handled them with them without a problem. I highly recommend this unit for the homeowner. This Echo unit replaces my 30 year old Echo blower that finally had to be retired.

Echo makes good equipment, easy to start and durable. This blower/vac is an example of that quality. It is easy to convert from blower to vac. The blower has good power as does the vac. The vac is a little awkward due to the bag but it shreds leaves and mulch very well.
