- Use a 50:1 ratio of fuel to oil mix for 2-stroke cycle engines, recommend using only fresh gas with a minimum octane rating of 89 or higher (mid-grade to premium) at all times

Not recommending it because you should get the GT-225SF – not the base GT-225 – because if you do, you get the MUCH better head for only $10 more. This better head costs $30 in stores. The base GT-225 issues individual trimmer strings that have to be replaced one by one – ridiculous.
