The gas powered ECHO GT-225L weed trimmer features a 21.2 cc professional-grade, 2-stroke engine for outstanding performance. It features a 55 in. shaft length 7 in. less than the GT-225 weed wacker model. The Speed-Feed 400 cutting head reloads in seconds without disassembly, making it easy to give lawns a manicured look efficiently and quickly. The directions in the manual did not match what I did to get it to work properly. After that, love it

This trimmer started and ran great. It is light weight and well balanced. The problem is it is a terrible fit for someone who is left handed. The deflector can not be adjusted and all debris is thrown on the operator. After 10 minutes my legs were covered with debris. Very dangerous for someone who operates it left handed. I used it for a total of about 30 minutes before deciding to return it I returned it to my local Home Depot and was given a prompt refund

Great so far. I have only used it 3 times now but it is the most comfortable to use trimmer I have owned, and at 53 I have owned several, from gas to corded to cordless. It is very easy on my back, and I have had back problems since I was a teenager.It starts easily and I am hoping it stays that way for years to come. It has more than enough power to trim around my house and my mother’s house.

It is a little heavier than I like but well made and easy to use. Have not put new trimmer string in yet and am looking forward to the new method where you just put in….after cutting out the length recommended. Had to take the end cap off cause the string was not out of one hole….easy to get off but not easy to put back on…..course it took awhile before I learned to put the old one back on right.

It lacks power. Echo needed to give it 5cc to 10cc more engine. Doesn’t start as good or have as much power as my 6 year old yard man, but because it has a longer than average shaft it is easier on the back and left arm The curved shaft also allows for better control.

I’m 6’3″ and my only wish was that this extra length model was a couple inches longer, though if you are tall this model feels much better than the standard length. It idles and runs very smooth straight out of the box. It is a bit quieter than the other couple trimmers I have had to compare to, and my neighbor commented on how quiet it is from a distance. Overall very satisfied with this product and it feels like it will give several good years of service as long as stored properly and not using ethanol fuels.
