Re-stringing the string line is a pain. Not user friendly at all.

Good trimmer. The handle is a joke though. I replaced handle with a real trimmer handle and everything is fine now.

I bought this unit about 3 weeks ago. A little pricey but worth it. Nice balance, low vibration & a nice line feeding mechanism that is a breeze to refill. I wish the fuel tank neck extended a little higher. It’s a little awkward to refill. Far superior to my Craftsman machine which lasted only 4 seasons before it literally blew up while it was running. The cylinder case literally blew apart. I’m very satisfied with my Echo

Works great and easy to use. Questionable manual language.

I bought the Echo GT-225SF to replace a Ryobi grass trimmer that worked well for about 15 years. I have purchased other Echo equipment because of the 5 year warranty , easy motor start and good overall performance. I read other reviews on this model that noted to problems; handle movement and speed feed jam. Despite those negatives, I decided that those issues where fixable. They should have noted in their instruction manual the proper orientation of the string feed head components. The string spool must be positioned in the hub with the “R” facing out. Once the bump head is snapped in place, and the winding ring arrows are aligned with the feed eyelets, the string loading procedure is per the stated instructions.

Nice size and power!

The trimmed works well. So far the only problem I have is that the bump to advance the line does not work.

So far so good. The handle doesn’t seem fully set, slides slightly and turns easily even when fully tightened. Also runs very loud for an average weed eater. Overall gets the job done and we’ll see how long it lasts.

put it together, gassed and started nicely. Once I figured out how easy it is to install the line, I am very pleased with the purchase. The weight of this unit is so much better than the straight shaft. Thanks.

A little tricky winding the spool with new line, but works great.

This is the trimmer that should go the distance ! Starts easy, has great power and matched with Black Diamond line and Echo premixed no ethanol fuel should last a lifetime. Also love the Speed Feed head…too easy.

Quality product, started immediately and has plenty of power. Light and well balanced. Originally purchased straight shaft version but was unhappy with small guard at trimmer head that threw too much debris on user.

Bought this two weeks ago used it a couple times works and runs great, I also use it to edge sidewalks, it came with. 080 line but it will take .095 that will put in that will also edge the sidewalk better. I looked at a lot before this purchase always bought cheap weed trimmers finally decided spend more and get a good one.

Only had this trimmer for three weeks. I followed the instructions and it started up just like the manual said. The idle was a little low. But again following the instructions was very easy adjust. Used a flat head screw driver to increase and was very simple. I chose the echo brand from the very good reviews and poor reviews on other brands. Its a lot lighter that others I held in the different stories I went to. I also like how it actually has a paper media filter, rather than a foam filter. Should help the engine last alot longer. Every time I am done trimming Im draining the fuel out back into the fuel container and running the engine out of fuel for storage. Im really happy with it so far, only wish it had a strap but was a good price so its all good.

I owned same model for 10 years and never had any problems. Think this new one will be just as good.

All good except hard to put new line in.And the guard sometimes moves around and needs to be tightened a lot.But it does trim very well.

This model is everything I hoped it would be for a trimmer.
