Weedeater is nice. A bit short in length, but well balanced and starts second pull after priming and choke first time.

Happy with automatic string loader once I figured out how to use it. Dealer demo wasn’t quite as thorough as I would have liked, but all’s well that ends well.

Great trimmer, but the curved shaft which I was used to with another brand turned out being too short for me, so I returned it for the straight shaft. Works Great !

I have had mine since the 2017 lawn mowing season and personally this unit is really easy to start and runs very well and uses very little gas vs. my previous Homelite trimmer. It is very light and the pull start assist does work well. The things that I do not like are the large shroud will hit the ground if the topology of the ground dips down which might be because I am only about 5.7″ tall. The on/off switch should automatically default back to the ‘on” position after turning the switch off. Otherwise I really think this is a very well made tool with good power.

The unit arrived in a box that could contain any of the the 3 models of this trimmer. It arrived without the safety glasses mentioned in the owner’s manual and a call to ECHO’s customer service rectified that omission within 5 days. While the product is easy to use and productive, the owner’s manual has absolutely NO instructions on regular usage; it filled with maintence instructions and one small section about removing the trimmer head. In addition, the term “Speed Feeder” is a TOTAL misnomer; reloading the 20 feet of line is T-E-D-I-O-U-S, AT BEST!!!!

Very good!

This trimmer works very well. It is easy to handle and can get in under shrubs and plants which is why I purchased a curved shaft trimmer. My only complaint is that it can be hard to start initially, often times requiring several pulls on the starter.

I had another echo trimmer for 10 years then it died. This has been a great replacement and I love the speed feed head. In the past month it has logged in many hours trying to tame my jungle of a yard. I took off the black plastic guard after 20 minutes to make it easier to reach certain areas. Always starts by third pull and is lighter than old one I had so less tiring to use.

I’ve had the Echo GT-225SF for a couple of weeks now and so far I really like it. It is heavier than my last weed eater, so that is taking some time to get used to. The only problem I have had is with the handle. It continually moves. Echo has suggested I get a different handle for this issue.

Did not start easily. How’s that.
