The ECHO hedge trimmer HC-155 features double-sided, double-reciprocating blades that provide extended length for hard-to-reach areas. The redesigned, ergonomic rear handle makes the gas hedge trimmer easier to maneuver for a precision-cut. The highly-efficient air filter found on this bush hedger unit provides improved filtration for a longer engine life.
- Use a 50:1 ratio of fuel to oil mix for 2-stroke cycle engines, recommend using only fresh gas with a minimum octane rating of 89 or higher (mid-grade to premium) at all times
- 50:1 ratio equal 1 US Gal. 89 octane plus 2.6 fl. oz. ECHO PowerBlend gold oil or ECHO red armor oil
- Bush trimmer features a 21.2 cc professional-grade 2-stroke gas engine

It cuts extremely well but is definitely pretty heavy. It also starts easily. I have 2 other Echo products and this one doesn’t disappoint. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the weight. I am a pretty fit gentleman and I still thought it was heavy for prolonged use. If you are elderly or not the most physically fit, I would steer clear of this trimmer. Other than that it is great.

Just bought the HC-155 4-20-19, got it in the thick stuff 4-22-19, WOW is all i can say, This Echo is typical Echo, starts easy, runs like a banshee, and sharp as a razor. I’ve got 4 other Echo machines and this one joins the rest of my Echo’s for awesome performance. The balance is superb! Oh’ and by the way it weighs a half pound lighter than the advertised weight, and that’s with a certified scale! Echo #1

I’ve used lawn equipment by several manufacturers over the years until I purchased my first piece of Echo equipment 12 years ago and it’s been Echo Products ever since. I’ve been using the HC-155 for several weeks and it is a fine machine. I don’t know if Echo Products are the highest priced on the market but their equipment is worth every penny and with a bit of common sense care and preventative maintenance these machines will run for years.

The unit starts and runs great, balance is good, cutting is also good. BUT if you have any sort of “White Knuckle” or Arthritis you will feel it. I wrapped the handle with Tennis Grips and it helps but I really should have bought one that had some sort of Anti-Vibration tech. I’ll use it for a season and sell it……..

This Echo hedge clipper gets a surprising amount of use in our semi-rural lot…practically as much as our trimmer. We’re so happy we opted for the longer 24” length instead of the 20”— it seems better balanced and I can just reach things more easily. It powers through ornamental trees, hedges, vines, small limbs…I’ve probably even cut a few things where I should have grabbed the saw… with this hedge trimmer instead. If you’re cutting a lot of material at once, it can get a little tangled up, so take your time. After break in, it didn’t start so easily, but since I bought from my local “mom and pop” Echo dealer, they made a carburetor adjustment in moments, and the unit has run totally reliably ever since. I also considered Maruyama and Husqvarna (kept borrowing my neighbor’s, before I bought one of my own), and am happy with my Echo.

This replaced a ten year old Echo Model HC 150 which was a good machine. I am please to say that the new HC 155 is a better hedge trimmer. The changes are subtle but real. It cuts evenly and on the first attempt. The controls are easier to use. It even seems quieter.
